I can understand why they threw the match, it is a flaw of the pool play format. With the risk of injury if they went all out, the revealing of special strategies they might have prepared, and the preferable play-off position they would have gotten from losing, it just seems obvious that it was going to be a dumb match to begin with. I didn't even watch it at first, since my initial assumption was that it would be quite bad and meaningless. So the women threw their games, I thought it was actually quite hilarious to watch, they really did a poor job of creating plausible deniability in their intent to lose. I wouldn't call it match fixing though, since both teams wanted to lose the outcome was unknown.
A very sad day for Olympic Badminton and I think BWF is going to make Badminton out off Olympic very soon.
actually I don't mind if they want to throw the match but please get a grip, don't play like 7 years old who just started playing badminton cannot serve, cannot return the serve purposely smashing onto the net grey mel and korean player also the same 3 sets in 48 minutes, 2nd set 15 minutes, third set 13 minutes total: KOR pair 10 serve fault INA pair 9 serve fault believe me, that's really painful to watch at least, give something decent like when lin dan purposely to lose or when Taufik already lose against LCW give the crowd what they want, entertain them play some clear, lots of drops, some smashes if they can, play some trick shot the problem is, both want to lose, so everyone try to lose in every single point
Hmm looks like TQ/ZYL knocked out 4 pairs as including their team mates. Secret personal plan to get the gold activated

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19072677 haha thats so right the olympic comittee is much harder then the ****ing bwf with the chinese
The worst part, none of them is the players' fault. It is the fault of the masterminds behind the thrown games...
do not affraid china will not send their players to international tournament anymore. there is no one bigger than badminton. china do not play in international tourney, just F*** them off. still have many others good badminton players.

Quoting: LONDON (Reuters) - A Badminton fiasco, involving women players who "threw" matches to manipulate the draw, has triggered the ire of the London Games organisers and the International Olympic Committee but no player will be expelled from the Games, they said on Wednesday.
