"It would not be about expelling anyone from the Games. We should give them (federation) the chance to deal with it."
Badminton federation, of course BWF chose to disqualify them if that is so;)

Though I am a Team China fan, i do admit that to Disqualify the four pairs is fair. But if the appeal by the koreans and indonesians are successful, it will be quite a joke if the top seed from china is out. Afterall, all of them are trying to manipulate the draws.

Just wondering: if the CHN duo hasn't thrown the match away, would the KOR pair have played normally or would they be the sole offenders in that match then... any idea?

Look at it this way from yesterday's match perspective.

In my opinion, if there is any successful appeal let it be the 1st Korean pair. Why, after the intervention and warning from the tournament ref the Korean indeed played a much better game (heeding the warning) unlike the snobbish and arrogant CHN pair that kept playing dumb and showed no respect at all.

If the Kor and IND are appealing their cases based on the ground that the CHN pair earlier had successfully plotted their lost and got away with it even with a warning from the ref, then why not us? It has given them the impression that they would be able to achieve the same thing.

If a black card was issued on the 1st match itself after the warning is given, it could be a different scenario altogether.

LYB got away with match fixing on baddy tournaments that were not so significant as OLY12 but this one gonna hurt, especially if TQ/ZYL do not win. Reason: CHN needs that gold and silver...For all those who are against match fixing, especially the spectators who paid big bucks in OLY12 and boo, they got the last laugh....ouch!

BWF is the offender and yet they can enforce, adjudicate and penalise. They can hear their own appeals, too.

BWF is the offender, police, judge and executioner ALL in one body. WOW!!!

They are so kind as to give u an hour (or two) to prepare for your appeal!!!

And the outcome of the trial and appeal are known before they are even started.

Well done IOC for supporting BWF from the very beginning till the very end.

    Well done!!!

    BWF, add oil!
