it would be tragic for LHI to leave without a medal....if he loses to LD in the semis...he will meet either LCW or CL...i hope it will be CL....still difficult for him to win

LHI has problem with line judgement. Many in shots left unattended.

I actually had to stop watching the Men's Singles match between CJ and LHI cause it was so boring, who thought women's doubles could be more exciting?

CJ fighting hard for his right to a rubber set, he has age on his side and LHI may not be in peak form in a 3rd game. CJ leads 11-10

After a commanding win in G1, Lin Dan switched to lower gear and under-estimated Sasaki's amazing comeback. Only when he felt in danger of losing with Sasaki playing better and better that he woke up and dug his heels in. Though he led most of the way, the surplus was time and again reduced to 2 or 1 before a final spurt from him closed it out.

On the whole, not a comprehensive victory by Lin Dan. But then, this is the Olympics, a totally different kind of event not analyzable the normal way. Still,a win is a win. A dramatic,tensed,adrenaline-pumping match.

overall head to head CJ leads 8-4.

in 2011-2012, they are pretty even at CJ 3-2 LHI.

historically, 7 encounters between these two have ended up in 3 games.

and CJ won 4 out of those 7.

LHI has never beaten CJ in 2 games.
