she has proved her worth, she proved her selection and also that the recent record against WYH were no fake... poor WYH she got rid of Saina for her who happened to be the only player to beat LXR this year and still ends up on the silver side of the podium... More so with age not on her side she might as well bear the agony for long...

Nooo :(. Both of these girls were absolutely fit for Gold, no doubt about this. With performances like these recently, who is there to deny the WS superiority of China :).

Congratulations LXR with the gold medal!!!!!
Congratulations for WYH too for the big fight!

Wang Yihan must be so pissed .. All that hard work she put in to eliminate stronger opponents.

Li Xuerui just nicked it from her LOL.

Unfair but LXR is the best player overall.

I'd rather see WYH rip off hers. LXR wouldn't win a beauty contest. No offence. ;)

WSX should be happy she stayed at home. She'd have no chance against any of these two finalists.

So Wang Yihan failed to win a Grand Slam. No one would now.

Lin Dan is still the only player to do so.

managed to wake up and watch the 3rd game. LXR totally had WYH's number there.

she managed the pace of the whole game perfectly, WYH was pushed around much much more (even though that's just her style). LXR movement, quality and choice of shots was better in general. her tactical awareness of her opponent is also much better, oftening picking on WYH's weakness and prediction of return.

WYH is known to play well when losing, but she didn't managed to capitalize at 17-20.

    what a match.
