Wang Yihan must be so pissed .. All that hard work she put in to eliminate stronger opponents. Li Xuerui just nicked it from her LOL. Unfair but LXR is the best player overall.
So Wang Yihan failed to win a Grand Slam. No one would now. Lin Dan is still the only player to do so.
managed to wake up and watch the 3rd game. LXR totally had WYH's number there. she managed the pace of the whole game perfectly, WYH was pushed around much much more (even though that's just her style). LXR movement, quality and choice of shots was better in general. her tactical awareness of her opponent is also much better, oftening picking on WYH's weakness and prediction of return. WYH is known to play well when losing, but she didn't managed to capitalize at 17-20. what a match.
