It is because those players you called (OG champion, World Champion, World # 1, Thomas - Uber Cup 2012 winning Members) are all come from home country.I guess, if all of those from India, then they will play in India as well.

your reason is just not good enough to compare.

Though I am not sure, I think Sindhu has beaten Porntip a couple of times before. Sindhu is known as next Saina Nehwal in India. She is rapidly raising her game every tournament. I have a feeling LXR will have to sweat hard to beat Sindhu tomorrow.

Sorry to disappoint, I sure don't see the reigning Olympic champion anywhere on the MS draw

When so many China top players were absent, that's the best chance to win a title. But in 2011 & 2012 India SS, there was only 5 & 4 representatives of the World's Top 3 players hehehe...do you know what is the reason ? :p. Usually there are a lot of top 3 players will compete to win a title, considering it is extremely difficult to do it with the presence of China top players...but not for India open SS :p. And yeah, still no world champion (2010 & 2011 editions) for India SS hehehe :p

Personally I see little reason to take issue with the significantly poor turnout of the CHN Masters bearing in mind it's the first SS soon after the London Olympics, Lin Dan's taking a break and coming wedding, and quite a few Olympians are still not fully prepared or settled down to compete at the highest level.

Overall, it's still a strong tournament, esp for the WS lineup; I don't think the participating players are complaining as it also presents an opportunity for the lesser contestants to get a more realistic shot at the titles.

I agree. Must let others get the feel of being in the limelight once in a while. The big guns have had their fair share. So time to let others shine. Besides we spectators only know how to enjoy and watch but athletes can burn out.

Now out of nowhere Sapsiree beat Liu Xin too ??

I mean what happened ?? No home ground advantage ??

It's interesting to know that most of QF in ws are youngsters ( Rat, Busanan, Sapsiree, Mitani and Sindhu)

Now all hope for Chn to fend off those spirited challenges rely on OG finalists and JYJ with lots of question marks

Tha UC will be very strong in future considering Lam Narissipat also still 16yo

ah ok....I think the BWF might then, in the future, reconsider the SS status of this tournament....

Oh well... Kashyap could catch his breath in the decider... it was probably the nastiest thrashing he got... Gurusaidutt has indeed improved a lot, and now he has the golden opportunity to face Chen Long. That'll be the lesson of a lifetime for him. He'll most likely lose, but he'll come out playing better than ever.

Did anyone catch that 2nd game where Chen Long whooped Zilberman?

you missed the fact that any edition of this tournament has draws full of talented Chinese players, whom even the big guns fear at. See the draws of Japan Open. Only one week later, but full of top 10 shuttlers !

the number of post show the interest of one tournament.
india open 2011 had 889 daily posts, while denmark open 2010 had 974 daily post.
mine are 99th of this china master ss.let see if we hit 500,goodluck.
its ok for china master to have world number one,wc or og winner to play this edition, who cares?
since the status of ss will lost in future.
