Three tough 1st round WS matches with possible upsets, Saina Nehwal - Bae YJ, Juliane Schenk - Eriko Hirose, and LXR - Inthanon R. Time for the heady LXR to get down to serious business or Inthanon might just knock some sense into her and wake her up.

Oh..no, that strong nation is taking part after skipping 3 tournaments where we had clean matches so far without manipulation. I am worried again for our beloved sport of badminton.

This time saina will win against BYJ in the first round match(my prediction). And with the deceptive shots that i have noticed in eriko against tai tzu ying in japan open , i think she has an edge over schenk. But we cant underestimate her. Her mental condition, if she plays against a player who is under her ranking, her body will work more hard and win it. Lets see how it goes. For Li xuerui vs inthanon, li has an added advantage. Inthanon's tactics will not go for li . Lets see what happens.

Yu Yang/WXL withdrew, based on latest Tournament Software update.

I am surprised Inthanon plays LXR so early in the round. I think there should be a 16 seedlings instead of 8. LXR should be more fired up after losing in QF in her last tournament.

Finally, we get to see Tan Boon Heong/Chin Ee Hui play. They should progress as Q4 winner and meet Ellis/Grabrielle White in main draw R32. Thereafter, it's Full Stop because Zhang Nan/Zhao Yun Lei awaits them in R16.

Even the way inthanon played in CBSL, i dont know how the result would be . Even YJ was outclassed . Li xuerui's weaknesses were revealed when she played against Sindhu. She has the habit of playing smashes frequently which was completely failed during QF game with sindhu. This is coz she realised the extraordinary reach sindhu has got. Li tried to smash near the borderline which she lacked perfection all the time. And also i have seen her match against Lu Lan which she lost. OMG! LuLan still has that talent and ability to upset even an olympics gold medalist. Seedings upto 8 ranks are enough. I know how you are willing for li xuerui to win in this game, but if you see in the other way, like if li xuerui was able to beat world number 1 many times, why should she fear for lesser ranked opponents. If Inthanon plays very well, then we have to give credit to IR. All the best for both of them.

Urr...., actually I am rooting for Inthanon, although I like LXR as well. I would like to see Inthanon play more games and climb up to Top 8. Here, in Denmark, I think its LXR's game to lost. :)

What RI needs to upgrade is the rocket fuel for injection of pace when needed. Blessed with fine array of strokes and court craft, her pace of play is not somewhat varied enough. Get the rocket fuel! It has to be blistering pace every once in a while to bomb LXR.

Im thinking....all CHN MS players will 'help' CL all the way to final :D.

-WZM will lose/WO/retired when vs CL
-DP will do the same, if he survives his rounds...
-CJ will try his might to stop/tires LCW

Then again, they all might go all out and play for real against each other. Im never good at predicting things but it's sure fun to do so :D
