As expected, Andre Kurniawan Tedjono once again proves that he performs better in Europe than in Asia, reaching QF this week. He has a good chance of reaching SF since he had beaten Mohd Arif Abdul Latif before in the Singapore SS in June this year. As for Hendra A. Gunawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki, they fulfill their seeding but they will have a tough time against Rasmus Bonde/Mads Conrad Petersen.
Yes, agree that Andre has good chance to beat Arif. He has a 4-0 record beating Arif, the last score was 16-21, 20-22 in Singapore Open 19th June 2012. For MD, both are new pairings. Hendra/Dasuki doesn't seem to have clicked as a strong pairing yet, whereas Bonde/Mads seem to have more communications and understands between them. Tough call but I go with Bonde/Mads, and also because it is on European soil.
For WS, its end of road for Olga. Juliane form is too good. I think Kirsty may beat Petya because Tee Jing Yi has similar play style as Petya, and Kirsty beat Tee convincingly. The other 2 WS SF I think are straight forward between Carolina and Yao Jie, but I do wonder how Yao Jie holds up playing both WS & WD.
My pick for MS are Chou, Rajiv, Andre Tedjono and Marc. Both Eric Pang and Chou Tien Chen form are pretty good. They only met once in Dutch Open 2011 where Chou beat Eric 23-21, 21-14, and that is on Eric's home ground. I guess the scale tilt towards Chou win. Rajiv has a 7-1 winning record against Scott, although the last win was in Sept 2011. Well, both has gotten older and more experience, but the 7-1 record stood out for a Rajiv win. Marc has only 1-0 win against Ville in 2008, but Marc has been very consistently good.
WD: My picks are Shinta/Yao Lei, Yao Jie/Ilse, Birgit/Johanna and Vivian/Khe Wei to get to Semi-Finals Tough matches expected between Wang/Zhang vs Yao Jie/Ilse, and Thai vs MAS. Lets see how Yao Jie who just turned 35 on 4th Oct pushes her body to the limit. (hmmmm . . . like Peter Gade, but he only plays Singles )
XD: My picks are Poland, Singapore, Germany and Denmark for SF. Such coincidence that there are 4 pairs of Netherlands WD in QF playing against "other countries", and my guess are these 4 "NED" pairs have hit their respective road blocks in QF.
Yao Jie at age 35 competing in both singles and doubles, how is she going to cope round after round? Today in the QF, she'll play singles first,then a few hours later ,doubles.
I hope you are correct here, That would be a fantastic win for Kirsty and reaching a semi final in a gp gold would do her confidence no end of good. (suspect Petya will take it though)
And Yao Jie's exploit continues beating Karin to move into the semi-final. She will be playing WD afterwards but considering she finished her singles in just 29 mins, I guess she can take it physically.

Kirsty lost from her own errors. A few straight forward shots but she hit it out. What a waste! But well done against a very experience Petya.

I thought Vivian/Khe might take the WD title but they were unexpectedly eliminated by the unknown Thai pair.
looks like olga can challenge juliane...i do hope they send her to more super series tournaments to gain ranking points...she's usually just sent to european tournaments..not enough...she can challenge the good players
