Wtf I wrapped the grip up the cone of the vt80, when I removed, paint came off and now all's left of the 'yonex' and 'yy' logos is just some holographic looking thing! Does the paint come off this easily? Any way I can 'draw' back the yonex and logo is there a stencil kit for that? Maybe I could use some permanent marker...
Yo! Just got a pair of VT80 from Perfect Sports for 35% off with BG66U. Now thinking to what grip to use and colour combination. Maybe the typical YELLOW overgrip + WHITE string a.k.a LCW style.
Mine have same problem and initially throught that it was FAKE racket. :O After seek feedback from friends and Perfects Sport, it's normal and almost 10/10 has this issue. If we look at the cone, it's sticker with clear coat on top. So, we use strong grip e.g. Karakal, it will peel off while removing the grip.
Haha what if yonex is making rackets out of fake stuff lol. Yy should seriously invest more time in improving cosmetics than thinking abt the next marketing hype.. 'sound filter' etc u get it. If I was head of the r&d department I would actually come out with the 'next gen' paintwork lol. Fusion paint mixes dye with liquid graphene to produce a strong base paintwork that takes 50 times more force to wear off than most racket painwork... Yet 10 x lighter and can be applied 3x thinner than normal paint. Haha sounds impossible.
There is a new racket (vt 90?) will be coming out as LCW and TBH is invited to test the new racket at japan. Source: 无羽能比
Here is the image that they are testing it out in Japan by Yonex. Omg, i cant wait for it! Was thinking to buy a new vt80 but i think i will hold it out until the new racket released. Source and credits to: 无羽能比
