MD: Gan TC/Ong SH defeated Kim/Kim (21-10, 24-22). Opps, this is not the formidable Kim/Kim, but Korea has a 2nd pair of Kim/Kim. Well, the MAS pair will get to meet the formidable Kim/Kim if both progresses to the Final.
Bae Youn Joo is controlling the game pretty easily Wang Yihan might not be playing her best, but this is also the best I've seen Bae Youn Joo play for a long time
So many empty seats... what's going on? Even though it's Round 1, I would at least expect a bit more... I would definitely be there if I was in Korea It's not like the ticket prices are over-expensive or anything so what gives... where's the dedication Badminton Korea? This isn't a good image for the sport and sponsors will think twice about whether its a sport worth investing in. Why would they invest in something where no people are interested in it? If no one buy tickets, let them go in for free.. there's nothing worse than leaving empty seats to catch dust, might as well give it to people who are interested and let them know it's a good sport. Especially to schools where badminton isn't so popular... it needs MORE exposure This is a SS Premiere and we should expect more. BWF needs to take action and crack the whip cos there doesn't seem to be effort behind this. This is coming from a person who has always been supportive of Korean badminton and their players
Isnt this just the 1st round? It's normal for half empty stadium. Weekends will have more people, non working days. Event, anything interesting happened in the stadium, other than the retirements?
