I think it might be time to change the name of this post from "Going Downhill?" to "Split or Quit?".

    lol, time for topic change...

this pair has had their moments from 2006-2010.... but there are other good pairs out their too... so it's not right to put the blame on KKK entirely...

although i must say.. they shouldn't have lost in the 2nd round in this year's all-england.... they should have been wary of other good pairs from other countries... (not just the top seeds)

Now they got new coach mah hehe.

Oh btw, their new coach Paulus wasn't able to go to All England this time. Who's actually with them? Tan Kim Her?

I beg to differ on your opinion... I thinkt he blame should be entirely on KKK-TBH. Yes, there are other good pairs out there because the young good pairs are getting better, the top pairs are maintaining their best.. while our pair? Getting worse.. that's all...

saw Koo/Tan played between any SS tournaments and CBL their playstyle totally different as they play more aggresive in CBL than in SS tournaments...

dunno why they use that playstyle to win matches...

    someone wrote a nice vew.

Tuesday March 12, 2013 [h=1]BAM should stop making excuses for dismal duo[/h]
I REFER to the report “Tougher training programme for struggling Koo and Tan” (The Star, March 11).
The Badminton Association of Malaysia’s (BAM) coaching committee should be able to gauge what doubles pair Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong (pic) are capable of in future badminton tournaments with their string of poor performances recently.
Enough excuses have been given by the pair and their coaches for their failures.
For BAM coaching and training chairman Ng Chin Chai to say now that the physical training that the pair had been doing was not enough is just another lame excuse.
Ng should have known this earlier, not offer excuses for the pair’s failure in the recent All-England tournament.
The story quotes Ng as saying that the trainers will get the players to do more sprints, more smashing and more jogging.
In the same breath, he says the only fear they have in pushing the players especially Koo – in training is the risk of them getting injured. So will there be extra training?
Koo-Tan were booted out in the second round in Birmingham by Thailand’s Maneepong Jongjit-Nipitiphon Puangpeapech 21-17, 21-18. Koo-Tan were also eliminated in the second round of the same tournament last year.
When players fail, team officials should also take the brunt, not just point fingers and look for excuses and scapegoats.
It is evident that Koo-Tan have reached their peak and several other foreign pairs have improved by leaps and bounds.
BAM should start focusing on grooming the back-up players with exposure in international tournaments. It is never too early to start.

Tactically, TKH is smart -- hire Paulus to coach KKK/TBH. Anything wrong, blame and fire Paulus ;p

TBH asking the person that ask them to retire, to replace TBH first, then TBH will retire.

I think he sounded a little bit cocky here 'replace him first then he'll retire'...
