M/Q Report version 3 (updated 8th April 2013) : http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=440385&dl=1 Many CHN and MAS players have withdrawn : Chen Jin, Wang Zhengming, Gao Huan, Han Li, Liew Daren, Chong Wei Feng, Mohammad Arif Abdul Latif, Tee Jing Yi, etc.
For CHN players I dunno why they withdrawn but for MAS players I know why they withdrawn, it's because MAS general election is coming and they decided to stay put in their country to make sure they able to vote in their homesoil...
Lee Chong wei is participating. Its confirmed already. There is a news about the opening ceremony of India Open 2013 [h=1]Badminton players on the ramp[/h] http://articles.timesofindia.indiat...2183_1_badminton-lee-chong-wei-charu-parashar EXCERPTS: Saina Nehwal will walk the ramp in Delhi along with former world No1 badminton player in the men's section, Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia, and other badminton players in the Opening Ceremony of the Yonex Sunrise India Open 2013. For the show, they will be wearing outfits by Charu Parashar. Would be cool to see LeeChongWei wearing Sherwani and walk the ramp...
just want to ask the same question about the article. Chen Long isn't there yet, but don't know if the author has sixth sense and can see what will happen in the future.
CHN top players pass on a SS, but play in the not-so-important Asian Champ. They really give a lot of faces to Taiwan.
Ahh...didn't see this coming. I am sorry, limsy. Tian is a very fit player no doubt but I dont think he is good enough to be world no 1 anytime soon. Just my honest opinion, we shall see .
There is a japanese player entered in WD called "Ayaka Takahashi" (just now i am seeing it).. And wondered, whether she is a distant relative (may be sister) to "Sayaka Takahashi" or just name resemblance??
Oh nothing serious; just the creative minds at the Times of India at work. Makes the news so much more interesting *Groan!* Limsy! Grow up!
Nope... not the Indian sports journalists. Especially, the articles on 'the times of india' are the least reliable. 'The Hindu' and 'Indian Express' are better sources of information for sports but sometimes even they make some blunders though
Ayaka Takahashi is Sayaka Takahashi's older sister. Sayaka Takahashi was with Panasonic previously. Starting January 2013, she is no longer with Panasonic, but Unisys (same with her sister Ayaka Takahashi).
