Sindhu was in very fine form last night - it was as if she was playing like how she was outplayed last week. Sapseeree just surrendered meekly ......... Coach Luan Ching recorded that match (yup, his camera was just beside my seating position). Gu Juan could do better at the finish though - she allowed Busanan to almost creep up and steal that 2nd game. Not enough killer instinct.
Best Malaysian player of the day, was Goh Liu Ying - despite losing in both events. She showed good consistency and with her XD experience, was able to put up a strong challenge in the WD despite being outgunned by the INA top seeds. Goh Soon Huat was a close second - worked really hard and looked to be worse for wear than the man he defeated, Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin.
recently singapore engaged a new (korean) coach for the doubles.......maybe he is mixing & matching to find the most ideal pairing...........
Nay, disagree with the first sentence. GLY made as many mistakes as her partner and her smashes couldn't even kill an ant.
Yes I'm afraid Gu Juan needs to have a killer instinct too to finish the weaker shots and not continue to play around with them. Her mental strength also needs sprucing up as well. She needs to be more patient and play her normal game and not subcumb to unnecessary errors when leading. Hope Luan Ching has found some loopholes ...
The name "Goh SH" did not register although I was impressed with his performance on paper so far. I understand he is a student of the impressive Hendrawan and he must be a good student to be able to defeat the older and more experienced Iskandar. But I will have a chance to see Goh in action soon on TV.
Yes I've reported on this and I am confident that coach Yoo can improve on our doubles performance. Maybe he has Rio 2016 in mind.
I am waiting sindhu play.... wanna see her improvement... havent watch her for long time since her title in INA IC 2011.... If she can improve her footwork (which i see the weaker thing of her), and maximize her height advantage, then she surely be in Top young WS along with Ratchanok, Tai Tzu Ying, Busanan, and my lovely Aya Ohori
