[OOT] May BCer please refresh again here the rule regarding the promotion & demotion between Level 1 and 2 of Sudirman Cup? My guess is one or two teams at the bottom of level 1 will be demoted and supplanted by one or two teams at the top of level 2. The same thing for the level 2 & 3.
I don't think there are promotion or demotion. It is purely based on the "total Team points" (top MS, WS, MD, WD & XD) and grouped accordingly to L1, L2, L3 & L4.
Sweden 3 - 2 Canada Sweden took MS, WD and XD. Canada took MD and WS. USA won all first 3 matches against Austria Sri Lanka won 3-1 from Lithuania. That man again -Niluka won the first match (MD) with his brother, and about 30 minutes later was back on court to play -and win- the MS match, 21-12, 21-3! The Swiss made it past New Zealand 3-2 Turkey won the first 3 matches from Kazakhstan. Things are gonna hot up in the afternoon session....
okay, not quite sure about the exact rules governing this relegation and promotion, anyhow it's reported that "India, which lost 0-5 to China and 1-4 to Indonesia, has been relegated to level two of the competition." http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2013/05/21/indonesia-beats-india-qualification.html If not mistaken, Singapore squad is on relegation path from level 1 as well.
Fropm first glance, Selena Piek has already upstaged Imogen Bankier - for wearing a skirt ...... But Bankier is prettier.

Aussie XD pair almost lost another match this evening - luckily at 19-20, the Pihillipines serve was woeful and easily put away. Nice to see Nina Vislova win her match today, Russian binoculars can't have enough of her.
Thomas Rouxel of France seemed to be more of an aggressive player than brice Leverdez. Fast mover on court - but not quite as much punch.
Old man Pang still too good for Merrilees. 1-1 between Scots and Dutch. Vietnam sent a new player, Nguyen Thuy Linh to the slaughter against Marija Ulitina.
Now this is interesting, Scottish version of the jumpsmash queen against perfectly tanned Patty Stolzenbach. My money is on the jump enabled Gilmour girl.
Vietnam just won the Level 3 title, beating Ukraine 3-1 by sacrificing women's singles, and instead using their top WS player to play doubles.
No that was intentional . I think abedeng is secretly using this with slides full of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition
