Probably wants to get rid of the gap? You're starting going up too early ... Or the wrinkles I'm only now seeing ...
How do I get rid of the gap right at the bottom? To get rid of wrinkles I just need to stretch it more.
Just make sure to go full circle first and hold it in place with your thumb as you stretch it to go upwards ... (well you already stretch it a little when going full circle, but just hold it in place at the overlap when starting to angle it)
The grip I use rkep g09 (iirc) has an angled starting end (I think this is pretty common?) so do you have to go against this angle to get the full wrap at the butt?
Nope, you just really need to overlap it before angling upwards (probably overlaps at least 1cm at the bottom). I start at the same position as you but don't start angling upwards until the overlap, whereas you already went upwards at the side bevel ... I press my thumb on where the overlap begins and angle it upwards; thumb takes up some space so some additional overlap because of it I just analyzed
Do it reverse. Start with the wide end at the butt and end up with the thin adhesive end at the cone. That way you won't need to use any finishing tape. And I like to have 2mm of excess grip hanging over the end of the butt to cushion the sharp edge of the butt from my palm when I grip low.
Bro, just want to ask about towel grip? I used mine for 3 sessions then feel the grip went it and start to dry and thin. What to do to help preserve it and won't have this happen again.
As nice as that is, and I also grip that way, it does nothing in terms of solving the gap "issue" if you start angling up too soon http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...great-towel-grip-thread-)?p=896176#post896176 Can also use other types of brush ...
^ ^ I was responding to amleto but your post got in the way. Seems like amleto starts with the narrow adhesive end at the butt end... and I was just informing him to use the reverse method.
Top (Arc10) grip wrapped by a friend either a 143/7/8 forgot Mid (NS5k) grip wrapped by friend's badminton coach, don't know the model of grap but yonex Bot (ArcFB) grip wrapped by myself, first attempt to wrap it to the top coving the cap. Took me a bit more than an hour to get it like that. AC102C. Pretty good for my first try I think. Still like the blue one the best though
Mannnn... Love the way you grip the handle.. Never thought of that before; begin with wide end and finishing with the narrow.. Unique and no waste at all.. Great job.. Thanks for sharing..
First time with Yonex AC102EX on my BSLYD. Medium-tacky feel, seems nice. Decided to go with original white BSLYD handle color )
I'm getting my LYD of my little ones for fathers day. I'm going to have to go for a yellow grip as white will get dirty too quickly.
yeah, but i change grips rather often. and always wanted to try ac102. yellow must be okay, also i think violet must suit the racket nicely. played with black on it - ok too, neutral look. good choice, btw. i played both with bslyd and with arc11 today - like bslyd much more.
