Li xuerui was asked about last year's runner up title and what she learnt from that experience where she lost to saina nehwal.. Her answer was that "everybody trying to be their best and this time i played better"

Agree. For a PSS event, Indonesia Badm cannot even afford to pay a good translator, especially when they know China is anticipated to win some events here.
If it is a Russian or German translator, I would have pardon them.

The turning point in the 3rd set was when LXR won the point at the crucial position 16-15, drove to right side of the court. After that, she's uncatchable.

LXR cool as cucumber, as usual. She adjusted to the court drift much much better than so many other players, including the men's. Great thinker, I believe LXR is. :)

I would think that the crucial stage was before the 3rd set change over when JS let LXR leads 11-5. After the change over, JS won 12 pts against LXR 10 pts, to end match at 21-17.

JS did not get tired.. She simply made some unforced errors at the crucial time.. That made the difference..

Now can Ahsan/Hendra deliver to the public, winning one trophy for the pride of and to reward all the efforts & trouble of the host country??? A daunting task but definitely a probable one!!

all the high-5's when the players walk into the stadium.

    KSH uses his left hand.
    LYD don't even bother.

which is interesting coz you never know what you gonna hit, someone might have a sharp ring and cut your crucial playing hand.

the Indonesian player didn't care much about that.

A grueling, hard well-fought match of the highest quality. JS is back to her best, I think she together with Intanon Ratchanok will be the main threats to the CHN WS in the WC. LXR got to improve on her accuracy and that momentary lapses of concentration is still there which she must continue to work on.

I've a feeling after this well-deserved,satisfying victory, LXR might just want to take it easy at next week's SIN Open without stressing herself and risking any injury (noticed her heavily-bandaged left knee up to the thigh) before the WC.
