I guess LYD is trying to complement Ko, and knowing Ko jittery, thus LYD tries to take more risky shots and this increases LYD errors. . .
Ofc a partnership has to work together and I could only see a part of this match bc my proxy didn´t work fast enough :/ But Ko consistently struggles with his nerves. And for the partner it will always be tough to know in pressure situation you have a partner who can´t keep as cool as he should. This puts more pressure on LYD, kinda a circle. Ahsan/Setiawan were completly on fire. Everyone would have got outplayed by them the last tournaments. But I have to admit that the excitment of the Korean pair has gone partly now. Lee doesn´t shine as he did with JJS and Ko has other strengths than jjs but they couldn´t solve the problems we discussed in the beginning of their partnerhip. Well now I hope for Kim/Kim and Koo/Tan damn they are in the same draw
looking at how ratchanok is playing...tmrs match between carolina and ratchanok would be the battle of the new generation...at long last europe has a promising WS to take over from Tine and Juliane...and surprise surprise she's from Spain..
In the meanwhile, i expect sindhu to play calm and get experience from the match she plays with wang yihan ... Whether she wins or loses, she definitely gain a very good experience for her future games..
It is a very poor decision by the KOR team to let its first team players participate in the World Universiade last month. That could have somewhat affected their preparation for the WC. The results in this WC up to now: MS - all out in R64 WS - only 1 remaining in QF MD - only 1 pair remaining in QF WD - possibly only 2 pairs remaining in QF XD - all could be out by R16 (pending the results of the later matches)

ah how long i have been waiting for this day! it will be a shame that only one of them will go through though!
No sure about this, bc MS players played well, but had very tough opponents. SJH got upset, but Bae survived. MD there was a very good match between Kim/kim vs their teammates! Shin/Yoo, so they only lost one pair. Mixed pairs don´t have enough points to avoid the big guns in early rounds, but still 3 matches with 1 or 2 coming through I believe. And WD was as predicted.
I'd have preferred Lindaweni to give LXR a tough fight so as to enable the latter to settle in and be at her best the next round onward.
