CY is giving all his racquets. A sign of retirement at last?

I'm feeling so sad, never was a big fan of Cai Yun but he is truly one of the greats of badminton. The pain he and FHF had to endure after their loss at the 2008 Olympics is unbelievable yet to come back and win the gold four years later. Truly amazing! Goodbye Cai Yun you will be missed!

though not my fav player...its a bit emotional watching CY play his probable last match...the first year i saw them won a bronze in the WC in 2003 was also the first year that i started playing and following badminton...can't believe it's been 10 years already...

Yes it is sad if CY retire. But it's still happy ending for CY/FHF by reaching SF. This is World Championships gents.. And they defeated 2 seeded pair along the way.

Cai/Fu to retire? Looks like it now. CHN MD is in a sorry state if they have to depend on this veteran pair to hold the fort. Time to set things right, with CHN's depth of talent, it'll be soon done, I hope.

I tend to agree! The CHN women are still holding things up for their team and LXR is one of the sharpest weapons they have.

sad. very sad. losing at home was indeed painful in 2008. But we have to admit, Setiawan and Kido were better.

When will Cai Yu/FHF retire? Judging from performance of Liu/Qiu and Zhang/Chai , it is hard to say when exactly that will happen.

LYB and Cai Yun need to decide shortly, because there is only 3 more years until Rio 2016!!! Time flies...
