cai yun a lil bit sad I think, about retirement they will participate in next China Master SS. So, not sure it's their last match.

    Players with unorthodox mannerisms:

M Boe ( Denmark) – Rubbing the ball of shuttle vigorously on the strings of his racket. If you were his opponent and you see this happening when the game is neck to neck at 18-18, would you think he was trying to put some voodoo spell on the shuttle? But then again, maybe it’s just Boe’s superstition. On the other hand, I’m pretty sure you have the right to be annoyed.

Lin Dan – blowing his nose onto the court and outside the court. I guess he thinks he’s a multiple Olympic champ, he is entitled to it. His semi-final match against Nguyen wasn’t much more of a problem facing a player giving him problems, but rather a problem of his own high expectation of himself, and of course also the pressure from his wife being the commentator as well. Heck if my wife was commentating, I’d be under pressure too. Wouldn’t you?

Players that remind me of Zhao Jianhua demolishing Joko Suprianto at the All England:

Li Xue Rui – A player whose lobs can even kill you. She just steamrolled past BYJ in class and style.

Players that can become ‘coaches’ to KKK/TBH:

EOM/Jung (Korean WD) – EOM can really teach the boys how to defend, they turn defend into attack superbly, instead of the boy’s arrogant lifting with no real purpose at all. Jung’s a deceptive lefthander suitably paired with EOM’s good netplay. EOM/Jung’s superb way of turning opponent’s thunderous smashes to attacking defence reminds me of wing chun and yoga, the harder you attack, the harder you get kicked. EOM/Jung also has good communication with their coaches, looking for affirmation or reprimand. Our boys KKK/TBH couldn’t give a damn. Just play anything they want.

    Nguyen Tien Minh
Kudos to Nguyen for being still able to run and give LD a fight, even after the taxing match against Jorgensen in yesterday’s quarter-finals. I change my mind. His engine capacity is 3.0, not 2.5.

    Du Pengyu
Now guess if DP the workhorse will be able to match up to LCW later. 3 sets, or straight sets? Hmm..

    Ratchanok

Her overhead round-the-head shots is beginning to look like LXR's, powerful cross court smash. But her underarm strokes are not as deftly deceptive as LXR's. I think, mostly, she will have to rely on patience and accurate placement, rather than going against LXR with speed.

Must be working on Sindhu's lack of experience to grasp the initiative.

Sindhu needs to settle down. She's been in big semi-finals before.

21-10 fairly easy win for Thai in the opening game... are we surprised with the scoreline after Sindhu knocked off two Chn players?

Let's see how Sindhu comes back. Will she be crushed mentally? It's has always been said she is less stable in her match temperament.
