Agree. If walkover and can not play in the next tournament, most likely it would be a real injury. The suspicious ones are those that walkover, then next few days play the next tournament. This is quite a bad tournament for INA players with Nitya getting hit in her eye. Ricky and Sonny injured. Pia suffered from cramps.
Today's final will stage 3 INA affairs through MS, MD, XD and 2 CHN derby in women's category : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...6BD35A-E2C2-4C20-9D73-5B0D68EAC250&d=20130929 I notice the host always losing WS and WD titles since INA GPG inaugural event in 2010.
At least it is real ....INA has more credibility than other countries...the Referee did ask Sony to show up and he did see Sony's ankle..
Each player has their own contract....being a winner, runner up and semifinalist has their own bonus from their respective sponsors...that's why they dont give walkover...also the more they win, the bigger bonus by the end of the year...and bigger bonus on INA Premier and INA GPG beside AE,WC,etc.....not many countries has similar system...that's why it is not a bogus WO
That's certainly a step forward towards the model of a pro-badminton model. Make every cent worth their sweat.
Remember that by the end of year, We have MVP, now between Towi/Butet and Ahsan/ Hendra, but since Butet/ Towi lost today, so Ahsan/Hendra is ahead tonwin $100000..and Butet/ Towi lost big bonus from Victor sport as well...
for MVP, doesn't it need look the result in the next few tourneys?eg. denmark PSS, French, HKG, CHN PSS?
Great response, words are superfluous. If W/O is cheating, why is it approved by BWF and what the heck should CHN learn from INA ? - Ridiculous, the height of absurdity. Bogus vs real walkover ?? What's that ? And who is to determine it, the tournament doctor, the referee, the umpire or the biased fans here to play judge? Extreme prejudice blinds one's eyes, poisons one's mind and consumes one's heart, leading one to hurt others and oneself even more.
Didn't expect that CHN merely sent a couple of their second tier players here, including one lone junior MS, Zhao Junpeng, and they performed quite well sweeping the WS and WD titles. Congrats to Suo Di, the WS titlist, who is a less aggressive attacking player than Yao Xue but more steady and less prone to errors. Just realized that most of the other CHN players are involved in their domestic league, the CBSL, which started yesterday as well as preparing for the East Asian Games and (for a few others) next week's London GPG.
What a surprise that the INA MD and XD world champions were beaten by their lesser compatriots, a sign of strong INA revival in doubles ?! Simon Santoso is one of my fave INA players, good to see him overcome Tommy yesterday and, hopefully, win the title afterwards. Unfortunately, Simon's career has been plagued by injuries or we might have seen him mount the winner's rostrum as often as Sony at least.
