So you've been using the adipower duoforce? Or just different rackets every time which you got sent as 'samples'? (Be honest. Call them gifts already! )
Panda's in Northern California (staying in San Rafael) for business... Panda hasn't played in over 3+ months due to a torn ACL/MCL that's partially healed. Panda didn't bring any badminton equipment... ...now that the work week is winding down, Panda wants to play Baddy in NorCal so bad. :crying: But no gear, no contacts, no shoes, no nothing...OK, still ready to play on Friday night...then afterwards, drive back to SoCal. Oh, working on the Ultra Pro with kevlar mesh reinforcement around the frame. It makes the racket more stable, better. Going to produce it and hopefully receive in about 1.5-2months. Also trying to see if we can do something similar to the MP100 grommets so high tension users won't need to replacement grommets on the corners.
Off Topic-ish... Kwun: please check for a text message from Panda, don't know if you're available tomorrow night to meet at Synergy Badminton Club. I planned a 2-hour session with Howard Bach and plan to meet at least one other BCer. Sorry so last minute, this Panda didn't plan to play any badminton but it looks like badminton found me. If you can't make it, no worries, there's always next time.
Unfortunately Dink and I didn't manage to meet up. But I did managed to get more court time with the 85g/292 Revelation. And not just any court time but some full power/effort jumpsmash drills! I was working on getting steeper angles on my jumpsmash while going all out power. i must have done around 100 of them? i was on the floor afterwards. Well, the angle did improve at the end of the session! However, that's more on the technique. On the actual repulsion, the sound and the KABOOM feeling of how the Revelation works together with ZM65@23/26 was just thundering awesome. I think was the loudest guy in the gym! The solidness of the Revelation just begs to be hit hard and harder. on retrospect, there might be some more headroom for maybe 1 or 2 lbs higher tension. the string was slightly overpowered i feel but going higher will zap even more power. All in all, fun, satisfying, and painful. Esp coming off a 50 miles bike ride in the morning!
50 miles on the bike, then 100 FHF smashes?!? Need we be calling the World Anti-Doping Agency on you, Boss? :-(
x100... with a Revelation + ZM65. I don't think the sound turned out that well.
The Revelation looks impressive... .. but those legs? Well, let's just say that WADA won't be raiding your fridge just yet.
Fidget, I did say he's an ectomorph. So you won't have to worry about any steroids in his fridge, but EPO. Kwun, only 2 best smashes? You should update the video onto that fella's jump smash thread from a few months back. Still needs more explosiveness, core muscles rotation and shoulder turn, but it's an improvement.
wait a minute, you're the young 'un here ... you're not even 40 whereas I'm pushing 50, and Fidget is probably over that(?)...
This is the proposed new Ultra Pro design; which color do you prefer? #1, # 2 or # 3? So far, everyone likes the retina burning magenta # 3. Most say simply because no one has made a retina burning magenta color racket yet. Specificiations: Panda Power Ultra Pro (Mark 2) Weight: 84-88g BP: 295-305mm Shaft Stiffness: 7.5-7.8 Special Feature: Kevlar mesh reinforced frame for better stability and strength Set Price: $125.00 for the racket only Availability: ~November 15th Designs by Adam Hawker (hawkeradam@hotmail.com)
#1 is the ultra colour! #2 is the tpro colour (or as near as makes no difference) so it can't be this one!
