I notice Mak is also playing in HK super series and Macau GP with chinese taipei players...I believe he might have joined the team like Fung Permadi back in the 90s...

Mak Hee Chun is probably one of the players with the most wasted talent.

Ow Yao Han might follow the same road if Tan Kim Her continues screwing around.

nope,it should be flexible systematic and performance base.
attend full training session, pay them with basic + full attendance allowance
if they skip training, cut their basis.
give them a budget for next year tournament, discus together which tournament to be play, what (reasonable )target
didnt reach target, punishment(extra training session)
reach target, choose one extra tournament or allowance
exceed target, give him one more tournament and some allowance.

but i think it takes bam a century for them to change the money sucking mindset and start to think for player and malaysia badminton future.

Sportsmen don't attend training to get paid. We need the right motivator here.

Proper training environment to sharpen their ability to make a name / achieve their goals n dreams.

Rm3-5k pay to cover their nourishment should be suffice.

Real rewards (endorsement deals n prize money) come to those who succeed.

If they want a paying job to afford a lifestyle/house/car, they can always checkout the job market.

Make it big then renegotiate salary.

The world is round and the court is rectangle. All is fair depending on how u look at it.
