Oh gosh, Chen Long too, what a time to have elbow tendinitis. The SSF organizer must be peeved even though they will get Lee CW. I'm so disappointed.

For the WS, apart from WSX and LXR, I hope Intanon is in but she must do well here to qualify, a semifinal appearance here for her, at least, shouldn't be a problem, I think.

I'm watching the second game now and he doesn't seem to be as into the match as he could be. Giving some points away when he could have fought harder so perhaps that's how he lost the first one.

I'm not really into this, but why is Chen Long out?
Thought the best 8 MS from OSIM ranking taking place at SSF? Chen Long is on rank #8 (currently at bwfbadminton.org). Can someone please explain this? Thanks :)

For RI a SF place will not guarantee her to qualify for the SSF.
in fact, if she lost the SF she will definitely out.

Really spoiled for choice. Other than the 2 live streaming from HKO, there are another 2 from the Scottish Gold.

Oh, I see. In that case, we can only hope that IR gets one back from WSX should they meet again at the SF here despite having lost to her twice previously in recent times. Obviously, WSX starts with a big psychological advantage but considering the two are of the same league, it shouldn't be that difficult for IR who should have a fighting chance. But it's still early days, their other opponents may have other ideas.

My understanding is this : Chen Long at no.8 on the OSIM SS Standing at the moment means that after today's withdrawal for which he gets zero ranking points (I assumed), he would very likely be overtaken by anyone below him, thus edging him out as only the top 8 qualify for the SSF.

Hu Yun avenged his defeat on Kento Momota whom he lost to last week.

Yes Boss.. I am in the right thread. I meant that they are performing beyond their level. I have watched some of the matches involving local players. They are playing really well. Many matches involving home shuttlers gone to 3 games. Though many lost, they showed a good play . For eg.. Tommy escaped by a whisker. Ka Long Ng showed an incredible improvement. I hope somebody would have recorded this video. Need to watch the 3rd game atleast.

Thanks to this win, Hu Yun is in the Top 8 on the road to Malaysia, kicking Chen Long out. Now Chen Long has to pray LCW or someone else from the Top 8 makes a withdrawal.

Yeah, Hu Yun by that win over Kento kicked Chen Long out of the SSF. Sigh.

Now what is there for Lee CW not to play and/or win the SSF ? Even if someone is willing to or for whatever reason make way, it's for the no.9 SS ranked player to move up. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for a minor miracle. Speaking for myself, without Chen Long (and,of course, Lin Dan), the SSF trophy is Lee CW's for the taking.

Whoa, Ajay as we've never seen him before - NTM must be shell-shocked.

I am surprised with the way Ajay played.. He is definitely improved. His game has lots of deception today. He is up against the veteran Sony Dwi Kuncoro next. Will he be able to move ahead...?? Let's wait and see..

bad news (or good news) for someone likes to see CL in the SSF, at the moment he is 3rd in the queue of the reserve list, i.e. close to zero chance.
