Word of caution, he is the next Super King not the current Super King. Maybe, super prince now. You may anger his fans.
One has to wonder why there's such babbling going on about the SEA Games in a thread devoted to the SSF. There are SEA Games threads, after all. "Mine is bigger than yours" (SIN vs. IND) mind games going on, perhaps? If so, how depressingly juvenile.
and INDIA is not even participating in the SEA Games. I guess they can only brag about their non-badminton event athletes in SEA Games.
We are not interested in Basketball ever here. Who cares if SIN defeated INA in Basketball? Please stick to the topic.
Well said.. India is not at all part of SEA countries. Lol. There would not be any comparison at all. There should be one more thread to discuss about SEA badminton games. Not in this SS finals thread..
Sorry you got offended. Relax a bit. It is not meant for India and certainly not for you if you don't like. But we do have members from SEA.
sorry mr loh i very much respect your patriotism but perhaps you should create a SEA games thread for related news...=)...meant no offense...sorry!
By the same token why mix up badminton with cricket in the IBL thread? I don't play cricket and the game is certainly unfamiliar in most SEA countries. Did we object? No, we accept that from time to time, deviations here and there do crop up. So are heated debates, etc. Nothing is perfect here, so we learn to tolerate and move forward and not to kick up too much fuss to show our disapproval, etc, We learn to give and take a bit, unless one party persists. Remember the mods are available if things have gone too far. Tolerance is a part of this forum, I would think.
pcll99, you should have created this thread for Days 1 to 3 for the Group Stage for 11th,12th,and 13th Dec, instead of just for the first two days. Maybe the moderator can amend it ?
yeah. i have changed it to cover all 3 days of group matches. thanks pcll99, @Justin L
Very slightly OT, but I was going over online articles on the SSF and my mouth actually dropped open when I came across this: http://post.jagran.com/saina-nehwal-floors-minatsu-mitani-in-bwf-super-series-finals-1386838198 Is the Indian press always this incompetent? I actually double checked who won on TS because I thought maybe I had imagined the match I saw on Wednesday, but no, as it turns out the Indian press is just out of this world.
"imagination" must have been one of the requirements in the job description!! really too funny. i have to archive it here in case they decide to take it down. Saina has been clubbed in Group B along with world No 1 and Olympic champion Li Xuerui of China, world No 7 Yeon Ju Bae of Korea, besides world No 13 Mitani during the December 11-15 year-end tournament, which is being fought among top eight performers from the 12-event Super Series circuit. Top two players from Group A and B will advance to the semifinals. The winner of Group A will play against the runner-up of Group B, while the winner of Group B take on the runner-up of Group A in the semifinals for places in the final. Saina hardly had to break sweat in the opening game. From being tied at 7-7, the Hyderabad-based shuttler opened a 12-7 lead and eventually wrapped it up 21-19 in style. Saina began the second game also with a bang as she straightaway opened up a 7-0 lead. But the Japanese reduced it to 5-7 before making it 11-11. Thereafter, it was a neck-and-neck battle and finally it was Mitani who stole the game to take the match it to the decider. In the final game, Saina once again took an upper hand early on and always managed to maintain a slight lead but Mitani came from behind to make it 17-17. At 19-19, the Indian girl, however, used all her experience to win two points on the trot and seal the issue.(Agencies)
That's hilarious, how bias can you be into misleading someone with information that is not only incorrect, but the correct information is widely available. Incompetent, but not entirely surprising everything considered. *sighs*
i am guessing the journalist involved either was overworked, or have too much imagination. it is a good laugh anyway. just leave it at that.
