Nope. I do not own badminton shop, and merely an employee who goes to work to my office on daily basis. I kept the plastic handle and left it unstrung, so that these collections will always be considered as brand new (never been used / strung). I learn that any collectibles would be far more valued if it is still intact, and not second-hand collections. I have a dream, whereby in the next 20-30 years, these collections would be considered as vintage. Therefore, I intend to continue my collection for any popular rackets that would be released by YY and V in the future.
Your collections will be much more appreciated if you keep the racket frame poster (or racket tags) as well!!
Bro : Now I also actually going more like you, but I intend to keep all balance point 300-305 rackets above, means only head heavy and stiff rackets under my collection . Currently I having N90 1st gen , MX 80. Next I not sure whether to get MX 90 III or Z force under my collection. Any of you guys know any stiff, head heavy rackets above 300 balance point , can recommend me ! Thanks
So.... if you don't own a badminton shop and is an employee for a company.... the only explanation how you can collect that many rackets is that.. you have at least a five to six figure income (after tax deductions and all that) per month. Dayum. Wished I was in your position :/
You do know that some of the rackets he has is impossible or extremly difficult to buy from BC people? Especially the ZSlash BP and Armortec Super brand?
Actually there were a couple of Arc Z-Slash BP flying around for sale on the local Indonesian badminton forum. One can buy brand new as well. Quite surprising but yeah...
One thing I really admire from him, is to keep those rackets unstrung and unused. There's no way for me to have such amazing rackets without using them at all, the temptation is too damn strong...
Thanks. I just got lucky in obtaining the aforementioned products. Indonesia is a truly heaven, and very supportive, for a collector in hunting and obtaining old badminton models / products. To be honest, most of Indonesian retailers do not aware of the rarity of these products. Thus they still sell at the old selling system and does not set higher pricing for rare products. Further, I also put great patience in hunting these rackets, including to wait for the right moment when would a seller declare certain garage / clearance sale to YY and V products (amongst others, during X-mas season sale). They need to throw away their old inventory to support their cash flows though. There are 3 sellers actually. 1 of which only has 1 pcs in stock, and willing to sell it brand new at normal Arc Z-Slash pricing; whilst the other one sells second hand product, and (last but not least) the famous YY Japanese importer [from Eastern Java] who sells it at its own website. Once again, I just got lucky, and supported with the right timing / moment
Dear Quixilver, Ah yes .... the temptation is always there, and I put my best endeavors to resist from using them. Absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing this with us, I could spend hours just looking at the different models and variances between them. I've always wanted a Muscle Power 99 3U, hopefully I can make that dream a reality in the near future.
