Singapore has a new online store for Yonex gear.
    The website is www.sunriseclick.com

It is helmed by sporting goods retailer Sunrise & Company, the sole distributor for Yonex (and Mikasa) in South and Southeast Asia.

The layout is quite standard and pleasant to the eye.
However, the selection on sale is not that awesome.

Shipping is from Singapore and the store is aimed at the following 15 countries:

    Bangladesh
    Brunei
    Hong Kong
    India
    Indonesia
    Macau
    Malaysia
    Maldives
    Mauritius
    Nepal
    Pakistan
    Philippines
    Singapore
    Sri Lanka
    Vietnam

If buying shoes, do note that the size choices are Japanese (22 to 30).
If you're unfamiliar with those, look up their conversion chart before buying.
(Check out the FAQ for the size guide.)

Be warned that most of the prices are way above normal street rates!

For instance, a tube of AS-50 (Aerosensa 50) is priced at S$ 71.
This is ridiculous when you can get these outside for under S$45.

Also, stay away from the cheaper T-shirts.
The cotton ones from Yonex are pure crap.

Right now, the thing i like most about the store is the ability to pay using PayPal.
I signed up and ordered a bit of stuff to check out how reliable they are.
I will post an update next week after I've received the stuff I bought.

    Nope, didn't miss it.

In fact, I bought 8 racquets (a mix of the Armortec 900 Technique, the ArcSaber Z Slash Taufik Hidayat and the ArcSaber 10 Premium), two pairs of shoes and a few shorts and tees.

Of course, the racquets were and are great value for money.
But i can't say the same for the shoes, the shorts and the T-shirts.
The shoes and shorts are from some ancient stock.
And the T-shirts turned out to be utter crap

And now, looking at the credit card statement, i want to whack myself on the head with a dumbbell :(

The order was delivered on the fourth day.
And that's within the time they stated.

I ordered a LCW Flame T-shirt, two pairs of socks and a pair of shoes (the SHB 74EX).
They were all packed into a firm cardboard box (with the shoes in a drawstring bag).

Here's a picture of the box, the bag and the shoes:

    The T-shirt is this one:

By the way, I received the black version of the Flame T-shirt!
I'm not complaining though for it's as nice as the yellow one.

And what if it was pink? Not getting what you ordered is a big deal when ordering from overseas [IMG] ... The 74EX is not that old is it? Even if old stock it couldn't possibly be more than two years old(?) ...
I suppose the crap quality is about Sunrise quality material and TruVapor stuff, etc.? That bad; compared to ... ?

    Tiger style [IMG] http://www.sunriseclick.com/goods.p...-Tiger-Stripes-Shirt&category=yonex-mens-tops

My apologies, demolidor, for the late reply :(

Indeed, the mix-up is troubling (and I'm lucky they don't have a pink version).
However, I'd attribute it to teething troubles as the store is still very very new.

No, the 74EX isn't old at all... and they have turned out to be an excellent pair of shoes.

The 'crap' T-shirts I mentioned were those on offer at Yonex's last warehouse sale (in December 2013).

    I bought a few.
    Big big mistake.
They are made of what appears to be throwaway cotton.
After the first wear, I reassigned them to be used as kitchen rags.

The T-shirts available at the online store seem to be good stuff.
And, yes, the new 'Tiger Stripes' version is quite eye-catching.
    Expensive too :(

Since I bought a fair bit of stuff, they sent me a Tiger Stripes T-shirt... free :D
What warms my heart is the fact that they got the size right.

On my scorecard, this online store gets an 8 out of 10.
The two minuses are the random overpricing and their aversion to negative feedback.

Um, that's not a great way to move forward

Just saw this on the webpage for the Voltric Z-Force:

"Dominate your opponents rally after rally with the ultra-powerful Voltric Z-force badminton racquet – Lee Chong Wei’s playing racquet for over 10 years."

    10 years?

    Nonsense!

I ordered a few JP apparels (size XL) online last weekend and had assumed that the sizes were Asian sizes given that www.sunriseclick.com is a site based in Singapore/Asia. I was very surprised to receive the apparels in European XL size and e-mailed the customer service officer. I was informed that they only allow return of apparels and no exchanges and I had to bear the courier charges. Sunrise should specifically state on their website which country sizing they are using. Why would a company based in Singapore/Asia use European sizing and not Asian sizing???
