gundamzaku, please tell us the experience you have playing MD with her. I am interesting to know. Please recall in 3 stages. 1, before dating. 2, during dating. 3, after you got her.

yea it's xd, not md, LOL

before dating was the best as far as badminton's concern, nothing we say to each other is personal, i would never get offended.

while we dated, every little thing turns into a huge argument, and it didn't help that our playing night is on friday night, which leads to a horrible wkend if i don't fix it right away.

lastly, we don't play, problem solved.

same here. got to a point that when we play tournaments, we will play in the same flight, but with different partners. luckily we never got drawn to play each other.

because she plays exceptionally well when she is playing against me.

Well not quite. Later on we did play a few tournaments together. We even won one of them! Funny is that I think we won partly because the couple we were playing against in the finals was having a little disagreement. ...

Lol. The couple with least argument wins.

Then again, is this the only sports where husband and wife combination are potentially "lethal?"

my parents met together and thinking they are a good match because both of them like badminton :)
they still play for fun till I was like 6 years old (10-11 years after they got married)

they don't play anymore (they are in their mid 60s), but my father still loves to watch badminton match though.

They are in the mid-60s already as stated by avenger. Cannot be pushing themselves too much even if the game is slow paced.

0l0l00l hahahhaa sorry i have to laugh, no lunch or dinner that is rough. By the sounds of it, and by no means is offence intended, your wife wether it be the better/worse partner (sounds like the lesser player to me :p) takes it to seriously. I believe theres a fine line between aggressive and competitive. In a relationship + On court partnership, I think even competitiveness can cause tension, let alone aggressive behaviour like mentioned. Advice? Staaaay awaaaay. No more double for u .

i think if the couple will get married, they should know each other personality and they should have understand our weakness, not our surplus. and of course, we should ready to get married with our bf/gf xD

the one solution i found is that i have to be a lot less competitive. if i get competitive with myself, that attitude will eventually get to her and then a fight would break out. but if i'm looking at the game from a purely fun point of view, it's all good, very peaceful. and since now she hurt her ankle, i'm running the court in a U shape while she stands in the middle for the most part, which is good footwork workout for me :p

    you mean like doing drills?

"why are you hitting so hard?"
    "you are feeding too fast/slow!"
"are you trying to kill me?"

    :D

I'm laughing so hard, because sounds like those lines not only apply to badminton, but also... ahem... in bed. Not speaking from personal experience of course... :D
