no sir, we are playing a game against a doubles or mixed team, and for the most part she's at the T while i'm running around working on my reaction time and footwork. this actually helps.

heard it once when i dated a tiny lady........nevermind.

to be fair i've been stringing new rackets i got and let her demo it, she hates the nr800, and didn't like the zspeed (can't believe it!), but enjoy the arc11 and actually played a whole session with it. i love the arc11 too, but i love my Revelation more, and she caught on and took it from me :(

she said what's mine is hers too...prenupt?

Now there's a coincidence!! I have just bought a Rev and really like it, but there's the problem, so does my wife..... so she now has a new racquet, and to be honest she does play well with it. And it has given her loads of confidence too! But not a problem as I have just ordered a new PP UP Kevlar and can't wait........

i am glad to report that yesterday (sunday) was the first time that we played that we didn't have an a fight, nor an argument, not even a disagreement. the only time that there was a little "hiccup" was that our opponent served short, she was receiving, and usually i would yell out "short" because it was blatantly short, which i did, but she hit it anyway. afterward she just turned to me that since she's proceeded to hit it, she just decided to go ahead and hit it. and i said, ok, no problem, just watch out cos he serves really short when it's a short serve, and she said ok and smiled. i could have gone the other way and told her that i did yell out "short" with ample time for her to react to it, but in this case, it's only one serve and i do trust her judgment for the most part, so i decided to move on and continue playing which caused us to have more fun, and less headache.

on a side note, i think my revelation is a lost cause.

me: now that you have tried some of the rackets, which one do you think you play the best in
her: i think the one i used last time
me: oh the red and white one, that's the arc11, let me get that for you
her: no, it's not red, it's black and weird looking
me: (frown a bit without her noticing) oh that's the revelation
her: (upon seeing the racket) yes! that's it. (hugging racket)
me: why dont we just get another one that's more custom to your preference (grin)
    her: how much is it?
    me: only 165.
her: no, that's ok, i'll use yours (smile)
    me: (shoot!)

the revelation no longer resides in my bag :(

with valentine's day coming up so closely i don't dare to do anything else about it at this time

    ^^

you did good. next time, you know those tapes that comes with our grips? get one of those and tape over your mouth. it will do your relationship some good.

on other hand, she sounds like a keeper. not into name brands and bling bling color (Yonex) and prefer good quality stuff.

here is what you should do for V's day. buy her her own. ;)

i might just give her mine and order another Rev just 1-2g heavier, still even balance. i have thought about UPK, but i'll read more of people's reviews first :) it's always sad to let a racket go let alone one that's not broken, and in perfect condition, and i perform decent with it :(

p.s. and i can only vent here on BC forum!

You know this behaviour means you are a lost cause. It was not because she likes the racquet. It was actually a test of your reaction. No decent human being would dare take a racquet you like and decline the offer of a new one...;)

You have been sucker punched by mind games.

I suggest you test her reaction and say:

"I have had second thoughts on the racquet. Here's a new racquet for Valentine's day and I will keep using the old one." - what self respecting lady is going to decline a present? ;)

She'll take the present but you'll feel her wrath for it not being a romantic present :) good luck with that!

If she accepts it, marry her! You can buy her a stringing machine for your anniversary...

we played last night and i did joke about the racket being a valentine's gift, and she responded jokingly that she'll give me 60 for it knowing that it's 165 two weeks ago when i got it, then she got serious and declined it as a gift and said she would just hold onto it. but during the beginning of the session last night she was hugging the racket and saying that the racket wanted to go home with her. she also joked that there should be two revelations in case the one she's using breaks.....what the heck? i've never broken a racket in a game, not even in a tournament!!!

i do want a new stringing machine, but if i marry her i won't be able to afford one in a while :(

So, that means you don't have much time left to get one before you get married... ;)

If you got a good fish on the line, make sure you land it.... It's awful hard to hook 'em again if you let it slip away.
