M/Q Report version 1 (14th February 2014) : http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=531859&dl=1 DRAW date : 25th February 2014 Overall it's pretty strong line up for GP Gold level, particularly WS discipline where almost all top 8 have been registered here except current #1 Li XR and #8 Tai TY.
I wonder how LYB decides which Chinese players to send. They are sending WYH and WSX, but not sending any of their top men singles players. And no Lin Dan. They send Fu Haifeng but leave out Cai Yun. It seems pretty random.
Intanon needs to take a short break, have a good rest and recharge herself. Luckily, she is not a CHN player or some people will have things to say, esp those self-appointed spokesmen who purport to speak for the 99.99% when he doesn't even represent the 0.01% except himself. Anyway, even if the injury is very slight or just a discomfort, as long as she is not in the right frame of mind, she shouldn't force herself to play as the risk of injury or aggravating it would be higher, not to mention her performance would be adversely affected. As Morten Frost suggested during IR's match with LXR, go back to the drawing board; hope to see her come back stronger, she is still young and talented. Looking at the draw, if she hadn't withdrawn, waiting for her in R1 would most probably be Liu Xin, a tough proposition who might possibly bundle her out. Also in IR's quadrant is Sun Yu and in the same half, Wang Shixian, a daunting prospect. Indeed, the turnout for this Swiss Open is virtually as good as any SuperSeries.
