I always love watching this pair play. They have amazing speed and power. Under the guidance of PJB, there's no doubt these two will grab titles in the future.
Indeed they are good. I still think that they can do better. It's not fair to compare them with the level of Indonesian pair MA/HS but definitely with Denmark's MB/CM. Hope they will improve further.
I agree as well that they are very good. Sure they haven't won any major titles yet but I think they are one of the most consistent MD pair around.
I agree too. I thought they improved over the years and they played really well in the AE 2014 finals. It's a pity that they were not able to win any major tournaments. However, if they continue to improve and remain consistent in the future, they look poised to become one of the top MD's pair of post-2012 OG times.
They are fast n sometime i see they re better than LYD/KSH... but i dont know why the couldnt win major tittles... i always love to watch them in game
It would be nice if some of you could post some profile info and stats on both these players. And some background. And of course, some pics!
Found some bio-data about them on Unisys badminton website.. but it is in Japanese though Here are the links: http://www.unisys.co.jp/badminton/team/endo.html http://www.unisys.co.jp/badminton/team/hayakawa.html
This pair has been improving rapidly over the past few yrs, and now with the attrition and absence of top pairs from MAS, KOR, CHN, DEN, they can consistently make it into at least the semis of most tournaments. Love their never give up attitude on court.
IMHO, Endo is the more dynamic player of the duo. And there's also an 'endearing' quality about Endo's game Hayakawa is good at setting up potential kills but it's almost always Endo who does the final damage to the opponents.
I really like this pair and they have really improved but they need to be stronger mentally. They have the determination but when a string of points don't go their way or if something happens that upsets their concentration, they seem easily put off.
Agree. Noticed this too in a few of their recent matches. It seems to me they can get quite affected when they lose a big point or made a silly errors (e.g. hitting into the net when it is an open kill) at critical junctures. There seems to be this tendency to lose points easily after that....
Both played well. Hayakawa sealed the victory for Japan. Even better to not touch the net in the end.
Endo uses the VZF2, not sure which Mizuno racquet Hayakawa uses. He used to use the Mizuno Calibre 800 but think he changed to different one for the TC - a white green and black one iirc.
You know what I like to see instead of all of us guessing, it's that every time during each match begins with the intro of players, would like the organisers to also show us which rackets players are using. It's kind of like advertising but it's a win-win situation for both spectators and manufacturers.
