Surprised that you still haven't got a pass. Good and bad for the new system. As for me, I don't have to 'hunt' and 'negotiate' for a seat, some of which, while empty, had been 'reserved' by friends. Frustrating if you should arrive a little late. Bad thing is that they charge too high for the booking fee. I will have an acceptable view to take pictures at random. I think. But I guess the most expensive tickets must still be available and at so close to the court, these seats should generally be acceptable.
I do have a pass... but that would seat me on the corporate side. It won't allow me to sit with my kakis, which is what I wanted! But, as mentioned, I chose not to buy a seat. I'm not sure if you have considered what the 'fixed' seating will mean during the semi-finals and finals. If, for instance, your 'fixed' seat is behind Court 4, then you cannot sit behind the TV Court even if seats there are vacant. This is bizarre when you consider that you have paid the same amount of money as the no-show guy whose seat is now vacant behind the TV Court. Um, good for you if you got one of the seats in the centre. At this moment, watching on TV promises to be a lot better

Then, better buy the earlier rounds, just to be safe. I think you are not going to the stadium for the whole tournament. Which days are your tickets and which days are you sitting on your home couch with the beer?
Haven't quite made up my mind yet. Got to look at the daily match schedule. First, work commitment generally means I could only start after office hours, after 5 pm on weekdays. If the schedule is interesting for the day, may sneak out earlier. I like to see new faces, but may have to miss most of them as many will be knocked out in the qualifiers, normally starting on Tuesday morning, a working day unfortunately. Last year, I stayed home to watch the finals on TV. No need to travel to the venue. Very relaxing indeed! I normally would not do this for the earlier rounds, QF and SF as there are more than one court to monitor the progress of your favourite players. Not the finals which is played on just one court which is televised. Somehow the match schedule is not out yet, but I hope CLELY will do us the honour of posting the necessary info as usual. I got a season ticket, relatively cheap compared to others. So I can go all days.
Same here too. I don't go to the stadium on final day. Watching at home is more comfortable and with replays. So, is the ticket transferable? Can you pass to someone else if you are not going? Of course that person has to be a senior citizen. Wonder if I looked like one?
Young man, you got much more money to spend, so you can afford the normal tickets. This new company Sports Hub Tix which has taken over SISTIC as the ticket seller, has a rather cumbersome system and it charges a much higher ticketing fee. I ordered over the phone, paid by credit card and received the printed-out ticket(S) by email. Which means I had to print the tickets myself. I have altogether 6 separately printed tickets, each one for a different day printed with my name and a repetition of the terms and conditions, plus some adverts. Luckily my photo is not on each of them, so you can use the spare tickets and hope they don't check your name at the entrance. This is unlike the SISTIC 'one ticket for the entire season'. However the last time I collected at the SISTIC counter, not printed on my computer. As for the daily schedule starting time, barring changes (especially for IC3888): Tue & Wed: 9 AM (Doors open at 8 AM) Thu: 2 PM (1 PM) Fri: 3 PM (2PM) Sat: 2 PM (1 PM) Sun: 1 PM (12 PM) Note: No FLASH photography (normal camera okay but don't use flash), No Video and Audio Recording.
Dear Uncle, I am not young anymore. It's been 4 years since we last met and there are many changes to the head and hair and it's still changing. Exchange rate between RM and Sing is not favourable to us and will see if I have friends going across. Meanwhile, enjoy your badminton.

The grid's final position is quite high. It won't block any views but it will still be visible. After all, that's why those sponsors are paying good money to have their names on it Also, the arena lights are set-up to shine away from the stands. In fact, the BWF's insists that the spectators be under-lit (that's the All England look). Last year, the BWF was unhappy with the Singapore Open organisers for just this reason. Back then, the SBA couldn't do much because the Indoor Stadium's lighting setup isn't 'flexible'. However, this year, a separate lighting system has been added. And this is, obviously, capable of being adjusted to create the TV mood.
Now what has happened to the tournament software? Tomorrow is the qualification, yet I don't see the draw.
