Friend please do not be quick to anger. Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
Sindhu is not a seeded player anymore.. She slipped out of top 10 already.. So, she can meet any top seeded players in first and second rounds. So, she need to prepare herself for that . If she plays pathetically something like today, she will be even out of 20 soon... Very pathetic display ever by a top 10 player..
Ratchanok Intanon deserved to lose against the unseeded Li Han as she played like a novice and not like a world champion. Hu Yun should have beaten K Srikanth as he played the first game very well landing in most of his smashes and winning most of the net exchanges. Obviously K S’s coaches must have given him good tips during the breaks which made him to change tactics and win the next two games.
I can't wait to see BYX vs. Lilyana battle of wits at the net tomorrow. Hopefully they put this tomorrow on Court #1 along with LCW vs. Simon Santoso in the semis?
Once i heard gopichand advicing K.srikanth when he lost to Boonsak in 3 games about this.. Because the same srikanth has won Boonsak in 2 games at Thailand Open 2013. The Strategy is to play without spending much energy in the first game and use full power in next two games. That seems to be working for srikanth nowadays. Before , he use smash smash smash at every opportunity and spend his full energy and eventually lose the match when it gone for a rubber. That happened in India Open GPG where he won first game and was 19-12 up . He used all his energy jumping and jumping forever. He lost the game and eventually lost the match to china's Xue song.
… someone here is really really a huge of India... so why fury about someone else huge of another country???
Touching the line within 5 mm and Hawk-Eye is working. What happened to the earlier case when Hawk-Eye was not able to show where the shuttle landed and the umpire got to make his decision? A technical glitch, maybe, or a built-in shortcoming when it's too close to call, I suppose.
All I can say about the WYH vs. Sindhu match is that WYH had better hope that Sindhu gets knocked out before she has to meet her in future big tournaments. It's clear that WYH doesn't really know how to deal with Sindhu's aggressive style of play - once she tightens up other areas of her game, Sindhu will be very hard to deal with for WYH. With that being said, if Nehwal is regarded as the best in WS that India has to offer and as the epitome of what Indian coaching can produce, Sindhu doesn't have much chance of vastly improving. She should be so lucky to get some Chinese coaching, but I don't think China will take her. LOL!
Not only that, but she has a dirty habit of always pacing around after her opponent has won a rally and taking her own sweet time to return the shuttle. Frequently, she takes so long that the opponent ends up retrieving it herself, and when Sindhu does return it, it's always in that slightly ill-mannered way whereby she just flicks the shuttle under the net over to the other side. After a while, it gets a bit sickening to witness. That's one reason to appreciate the Japanese ladies, who are always so polite in picking up the shuttles when returning them. After all, the British originated this sport as a gentleman/gentlewoman's game, and it should jolly well be played that way.
I thought at one point that Singapore XD pair will get the second game and force the rubber.. Danny smashed it to the net to make the equaliser and lost the next two points eventually. They really have potential.. Need to work on the net part.
As if yihan took the shuttle using her hands and handed it over to sindhu !!! Lol.. This became a habit of saying something unnecessary whenever he/she (player) is not a favourite player nowadays,... Totally, unnecessary accusation when the same goes to their country players.. I have seen so many times yihan has done the same.. So, simply saying just like that does not give fruitful results..
It was obvious that Sindhu was trying to do to WYH what she did to her at the WC by aggressive attacking play, bringing the shuttle down at every opportunity, but it didn't work this time, because WYH used her brains and brawn in the right balance (still could be better fine-tuned from WYH, the next time, don't worry). That said, if Sindhu, who, I repeat, played above herself against WYH,could reproduce the same form with most of the other non-CHN players consistently, then she will rise much quicker than she now is. In other words, the way she played against WYH at the WC'13 and just now is not her real standard. We all know too well, how an underdog can rise to the occasion, plays fearlessly, without any pressure, above him- or herself but not otherwise or other times with other players. How did Sindhu play against her senior Saina Nehwal the last time at the IND Open GPG compared with how she played against WYH today ? One can easily cite examples.
