I sense that THW wants to attack more but just biding his time and dare not attack prematurely for fear of being punished, understandably.

 

That smash from THW should have been a winner against most opponents but LD got it back.

 

What is THW to do when almost all his smashes are being returned by Lin Dan...

 

THW fooled by LD's hold and flick.

Looks like THW simply cannot cope with Lin Dan's repertoire of strokes.

LD occasionally still makes easy mistakes.

 

One of the best rallies of the match...and the point goes to, you guess it right, Lin Dan.

 

Another simple error from LD...

 

LD is not at his fastest best, yet he can return every thing that Tian throws at him. Will he be able to do the same with a player he is not so familiar with?

 

An exciting rally that has the crowd thrilled.

 

I find myself asking the same question. It'd very interesting to see how Lin Dan deals with those young, up-and-coming non-CHN players that he's never met before.

 

I fear for the ROW in MS.

The half-prepared LD today is fearsome!

I must say this new,more mature,post-LOG'12 Lin Dan is quite different from the Lin Dan I used to know 3-5 years back when his sharp,forceful,overpowering attacking style still characterised his game.

The funny and sad thing is none of the CHN's young crop of MS play like the Lin Dan of yesteryear.

 

Doesnt it show the weakness of the rest of CBA's mens singles? Oh I dont expect them to win but still they all got a thrashing good and proper from someone who hasnt played for a long long time!!
