If you think about it, China Thomas Cup team isn't that strong. The only >50% chance of winning was Lin Dan and Chen Long. All others are very beatable - just think, what have the other pairs/singles players won recently? So it's not surprising that China are out (and lost to Japan). What surprises me is that they lost 0-3. Well done Japan, particularly Tago and Momota.

MAS or INA to do battle with JPN

Will either MAS or INA be able to upset JPN?

Will JPN be prevented to add their name on the Thomas Cup?

If MAS or INA can do it, it will heal many wounds. :D:D:D

This can't be it as I have been to India, and my goodness, if I didn't have dysentery by the end of my sojourn...and bear in mind that I only ever ate hotel food, not street food.

Ask LCW who had first-hand experience too.

the defeat of China will set the 2nd SF on even bigger fire, now it looks like as if it's the real finals between INA and MAS; whichever team wins this 2nd leg will most likely reap the TC trophy.

JPN is achieving very very big today yet they may eventually just do the path clearance and prepare the podium for either INA or MAS. We'll see in upcoming Sun, yet I'll still root the INA/MAS as the top dog!

Rest is what he wanted and his desire is granted by JPN.

If it turns out to be JPN, INA then I think Japan will take the first two singles. Indonesia the doubles, then it will all come down to second doubles. Simon would surely win if it came to it. Either way, this makes the second SF so much more exciting. Can't wait!

No way. You guys aren't reading the player line ups are you? For Malaysia, only LCW has >50% chance of winning, and for Indonesia, only Ahsan/Setiawan has >50% chance of winning. All others are 50/50, so anything can happen still. Japan has as much a chance of winning as Malaysia/Indonesia. Will be fun.

Uber Cup on the other hand - China has >50% chance to win for every single matchup, so it's nearly "statistically" impossible for them to not win.

Very well said Justin! Fully agree! The blame game won't do any good!!

Just swallow it as an extremely bitter medicine and take the wake-up call and work out even harder to rise even steadier and stronger.. as what the Chinese women's team learned in 2010 from the historic Korean lessons :D

We only think China is strong because of Lin Dan and Chen Long. They actually don't have anyone else. FHF/CY are gone. But to win Thomas Cup, you need 3 wins, not just 2. And since Lin Dan can't play until 5th game, China could easily lose to any of the "strong" nations - Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Denmark. So it's no surprise.
