    CHN v JPN
An ideal final based on the seeding position, 16th final for mighty CHN since 1984 edition and 7th times to JPN to feature in final where JPN's six previous finals happened in early editions of Uber Cup (1963-1981).

On paper, CHN is strong favourite to win Uber Cup but they can't underestimate Japanese team following their Thomas Cup losing. The score may finish directly 3-0 but anything possible in sport as JPN players often trouble CHN shuttlers in SS tournaments.

    Line-up prediction :
    - WS1 : Li Xuerui v Minatsu Mitani
    - WD1 : Bao Yixin/Tang Jinhua v Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi
    - WS2 : Wang Shixian v Sayaka Takahashi
    - WD2 : Wang Xiaoli/Zhao Yunlei v Miyuki Maeda/Reika Kakiiwa
    - WS3 : Wang Yihan v Eriko Hirose

    JPN v MAS
I guess none can predict this two countries will meet in final contest. Both JPN and MAS have shocked the top two contenders CHN and INA in same round and same scoreline, 3-0. It's unbelievable indeed, what a tremendous outcome!

Thomas Cup sounds pretty familiar for MAS as they captured the trophy 5 times and being runner-up several times but different situation for JPN, this is the first time and maybe the best chance to be Thomas Cup new champion.

It's really interesting final clash for badminton fans as both teams have equal strength and they should be on high confidence following their semifinal success to knock out two faves.

    Line-up prediction :
    - MS1 : Kenichi Tago v Lee Chong Wei
    - MD1 : Hiroyuki Endo/Kenichi Hayakawa v Hoon Thien How/Tan Boon Heong
    - MS2 : Kento Momota v Chong Wei Feng
    - MD2 : Takeshi Kamura/Keigo Sonoda v Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong
    - MS3 : Sho Sasaki v Liew Daren

He has 2 days rest. Should be able to recover on time... The first match is crucial for both teams.

Such a shame that Japan can't field Sayaka to play against LXR (Mitani is ranked just one place higher than her teammate) - Sayaka is more likely to snatch a point against LXR than Mitani, thus setting up Japan nicely to steal another point somewhere along the way.

Let's just hope this isn't going to be another boring ol' 3-0 (to China) whitewash.

    Uber Prediction:

Most likely CHN will win 3-0, 3-1 or 3-2.

For JPN to win, it could only be 3-0 or 3-1 - with Mitani having to take out LXR. She'll need to use mind games quite a bit to balance the situation, ala Bae Seung Hee during her defeat of Wang Yihan in the Uber 2010 final first singles. This would create doubts on the minds of beautiful debutant Bao Yixin and her partner.

    Uber cup.
Based on head to head record, Japan 1st 3 matches has a Perfect "Zero" wins against China. The 4th & 5th matches have no meetings yet. Consolation for us viewers are the 1st 3 matches, The Japanese did stretched the Chinese to 3 games.
