    Was it that pair that beat the top TPE pair in straight sets? I watched the game, they were incredibly fast and furious...

    Simon Santoso will be deeply disappointed. Failed to capitalize three matchpoints allowing his oppoenent to grab 5 points in a row at the crucial stage.

    A close 3-set victory by Wei Nan over Simon Santoso. WN actually threw away a hefty lead in G3, as much as 14-6 at one point, allowing SS to first level up 17-all and then going on to hold 3 matchpoints but, unfortunately, SS couldn't convert as WN turned the tables to snatch 5 points on the trot to seal the win by a narrow margin.

    I was hoping to see some IND players for the QF but there were none.

    Maybe IND is preparing hard for the forthcoming Commomweath Games to unseat MAS?

    MAS will be weakened for the Games if LCW still can't make the lineup.

    But IND will still have to contend with ENG.

    Firda beat TTY rather easily

    That's strangely pleasant surprise

    Similar case when Simon lost to another HKG MS, Hu Yun last month in Jakarta, very close match with rubber and deuce.

    Incredible moment of Pai sisters :)

    Major shock yesterday, well improved by Firda to beat one of top ten player!

    QUARTERFINALS (12.00pm, 2 courts) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=504BA051-AD30-4BA5-B15C-4BE8D430CC3C

    Well, JPN MS had secured 3 slots in last eight and all of them will take on tough rival today, Son Wan Ho and two CHN shuttlers, LD & Wang ZM.

    Bae YJ v Liu Xin should be close match while #1 seed Sung JH will find tricky test against Pai YP.

    None of MD seeded pairs who survive until QF, interesting to see battle of young pairs.

    Liu Xin vs Bae Yeon Ju, Tien Minh Nguyen vs Nan Wei & Adrianti Firdasari vs Yip Pui Yin : the ones I'm looking forward to. Besides, despite it being Quarter-Finals day, it's really nice that all of the matches have been scheduled on the TV courts.

    A not so successful tournament for Korea despite sending full squad as SJH is the only Korean who made it through to the SF.
