i totally gave up on SN when she was down 9-14 having lost the first game. What a comeback from there! She should really be commended for her fighting spirit. But this sort of performance will not help SN against LXR tomorrow, so she better raise her game. This is her fifth consecutive QF appearance in WCs and she was beaten in all of them in previous years (to WL,WSX,WX and BYJ respectively).
It seems she has lost her confidence and direction, often times looking towards her coach for help. This is an unwanted distraction which caused her to lose her focus.
No . Actually, I am on the way to home. I stopped somewhere and checked scores in my mobile. Found your comment and replied back.
Not quite expecting Wang ZM to overcome Wei Nan, at least not in two straight sets, 21-15 21-18; a remarkable feat imo. However, WZM's quest is likely to be halted tomorrow as LCW poses a stumbling block for him, like a big rock that he won't be able to push aside without huge effort and dogged determination.
Obviously Intanon wants to conserve her energy in G2 but overdoing it, allowing Mitani a comfortable lead.
Whether it's Intanon or Mitani who progresses, judging by the way they play, I have a feeling Sung JH will take care of them tomorrow.
Biggest upset so far! Thai fans must be totally disappointed! A new WS Worid Champ will emerge. Will there be more upsets? Who will reign this year? LXR, WYH, WSX, SN, ...?
Inthanon lost to Mintani in rubber game. So just one 2013 WC remaining to defend the title.. YY/WXY..
A sad end for Intanon's quest to retain her world title, her lack of match fitness (more physically presumably) told in the end. To be frank, at first I thought having a week's rest followed by resumption of two weeks of hard training isn't necessarily all such a bad thing but watching her play so far, I've to admit she is not moving very well though her characteristic strokes are generally still there.
WXL/YY is not a sure thing, not when Yu Yang had a illness break undergoing a surgical operation (not sure for what) and then played in only one or two tournaments exhibiting obvious signs of lack of match fitness. I seriously don't think YY is back anywhere near her best yet. Excuse or not,we shall see.
I think Pedersen/Juhl really have jinx for Greysa/nitya.. The INA pai won 21-15 comfortably in the 1st set after trailing 7-11 in the interval..
Another upset in the making for WD? The INA pair is in devastating form after a slow start. Will the Danes #2, be able to recover?
Surprise, surprise, even Tanongsak also fell victim to Eric Pang who proves his victory over THW yesterday was no fluke. Maturity and years of accumulated experience are serving Eric well at just the right time - the question is 'For how long?'.
