Ok.. I see Jonatan Christie on court. I am not sure he can win the match vs. Hsu Jen Hao.

JPN delayed home team victory but Takuma Ueda couldn't repeat his winning style to overcome KOR secret weapon Lee Hyun Il. Game 1, Ueda controlled the match perfectly to seal 21-14. The calm and fully supported by the home crowd Lee HI woke up, took game 2, 21-18. The deciding game for both teams showed lop-sided match as the more determined Hyun Il played his forte to outclass error-prone and under pressured Ueda, 21-9.

TPE v INA, 3-1. INA team only stole 1 point through Ahsan/Setiawan, the disastrous outing started from Tommy Sugiarto surprising defeat then followed by Pratama/Saputro. No medals from badminton team event here for INA.

Both CHN and MAS sailed smoothly to last four, 3-0 against HKG and NEP respectively. Wei Nan and HKG MD1 Lee CH/Tam CM delivered resistence to Chen L and Liu/Qiu.

    Women's team semifinal matches :

    CHN v JPN :
WS1, Li Xuerui v Minatsu Mitani
    WD1, Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei v Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi
WS2, Wang Shixian v Sayaka Takahashi
    WD2, Yu Yang/Wang Xiaoli v Miyuki Maeda/Reika Kakiiwa
WS3, Wang Yihan v Akane Yamaguchi

    IND v KOR :
WS1, Saina Nehwal v Sung Ji Hyun
    WS2, P.V. Sindhu v Bae Yeon Ju
WD1, Sikki Reddy/Pradnya Gadre v Chang Ye Na/Kim So Yeong
    WS3, P.C. Thulasi v Kim Hyo Min
    WD2, Ashwini Ponnappa/P.V.Sindhu v Jung Kyung Eun/Kim Ha Na

Saina Nehwal scores first point for IND, def. Sung Ji Hyun 21-12 / 10-21 / 21-9. And Li Xuerui as well to overcome Minatsu Mitani, 21-15 / 21-17.

pathetic INA. Yet again only Hendra/Ahsan and later Butet/Tontowi are the only pairs dependable to bring the medals. No wonder Reony does not want to coach INA team. He has reaped his reward in JPN why would he come back following his big brothers' step?

The semifinal lineup for CHN vs MAS as follows as reported here http://sports.sina.com.cn/yayun2014/o/2014-09-21/22057341189.shtml:

MS1 : Chen Long vs Lee Chong Wei

MD1 : Xu Chen/Zhang Nan vs Tan Boon Heong/Hoon Tien How

MS2 : Lin Dan vs Chong Wei Feng

MD2 : Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng vs Tan Wee Kiong/Goh Vee Shem

Note that CHN is dropping Liu Xiaolong/Qiu Zihan in favour of (new pair?) Xu Chen /Zhang Nan

This Chinese line up is a bit dangerous if they meet Korea, considering the poor performance of the Chinese doubles. It would lead to a third MS between LHI and Gao...
