Hei guys as the title suggests this group is for all you Ashaway fans out there to share your Ashaway products or reviews. Also it would be great if you share where you bought your Ashaway products from.As some of you might already suspect some Ashaway rackets are region exclusives. Frankly speaking i think Ashaway is one of the most under-rated brand around considering the fact they've been around for a very long time and they make some good strings too with Zymax 62 as my current favorite. In fact all my rackets are strung with Zymax 62. I'll start of the thread by posting up some of my Ashaway loot =) Ashaway Viper XT-1200 x 2 Ashaway Viper XT-500 Super Slim Ashaway Viper XT-700 Ashaway Viper XT-1000 Ashaway Viper XT-2000 Ashaway Viper XT-1500 Ashaway Super Light 79SQ Ashaway Super Light 7 Hex Ashaway Woven Tech XW-1000 Ashaway Palladium Limited Edition Ashaway Palladium Grand Ashaway Palladium XT-900 Ashaway Palladium XT-800 Pro Ashaway Palladium XT-700 Updated 12/06/2015 Phantom X-Speed Phantom X-Fire Palladium KV5000 Palladium XT-900 - Bought the red version as an extra Updated 03/03/2016 Phantom Edge Superlight Phantom
ZM62 is an amazing string. My go to too... Interesting bunch of rackets. There are some that look semi oval at the top, which are those? I'm interested because my go to RKEP XP70 also has that shape and I believe it's made by the same oem.
OH! so the bottom of the head is like a Victor MX frame and the top of the head frame is like a Victor BS?
Im not too familair with Victor rackets so i cant really confirm that but attached are the close ups pictures of the rackets =)
Thats a great selection! Ashaway rackets are very good value for money! I have had quite a few over the last 20+ years and they served me well. I seem to remember something like nanotec 9800 which was a very good racket and I had something called a nano Kevlar that was really nice.
Yes, it's a privately owned company on Rhode Island, originally making fishing lines, and still makes surgical suture lines. http://www.ashawayusa.com/history.php
. yup it is...but their main site is seriously lacking any real information.i suggest u go to their UK site below: http://www.ashaway.co.uk/
Biribiri77, are any of those racquets high flex? I'm considering trying the Nano Dynamic 130, as it is listed as high flex. I currently play with a yonex Nanoray 600 which is pretty much my holy grail of racquets, but would like see what Ashaway has to offer, being that it is an American company (although the racquets are China made). I will probably convert to Ashaway strings, too, though I am only waiting for my first set of their baddy strings to arrive. I have strung my racquetball racquets with Ashaway and seeing the Made in USA written on the strings fills me with a certain pride.
. Only Palladium Limited Edition and Palladium Grand is Flexible and the rest are all Medium-Stiff or Stiff. In fact i bought these 2 models just last week...latest models from Ashaway it seems and they dont make Flexible rackets that often so its a must try for me =)
. Yeah i know...i browsed through many sites in Europe and cant find any of those.Somehow i think Palladium series of rackets are only available in Asia...i've seen it being sold on online sites in Malaysia,Thailand,Singapore,Vietnam,India and Middle-East. Try googling "Ashaway Palladium" and you'll see what i mean...
I believe I had raised this question before. The Ashaway Palladium series have similar cosmetics to the Forza Titanium series eg Ti550 and wondered if they were from the same factory. The Forza rackets are made in Taiwan as indicated on the shaft.
I've heard that Forza and Ashaway rackets are manufactred in the same factory. Is it true? Are there any evidence?
The Viper XT I strung for a mate had exactly the same frame and graphics as the RKEP XP70 I had at the time too.
