    Tang JinHua suffered a bad injury during the training for the World Championship. She has not been the same ever since. Her scheduled debut with Tang YuanTing at HK Open was cancelled.

    Boa Yixin seems plateauing out. She looks disinterested when she plays.

    And Evert Sukamta will meet another CHN youngster today, the runner up of WJC 2012, Xue Song.

    ROUND of 32 (10.00am local time, 4 courts) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=036A94D4-C8DF-4E1B-A02E-4F623422DF93

    Susilo and Kuncoro are trying to rejuvenate their career, let's see how far they can progress in this tournament. European two leading men, Zwiebler and Ouseph are expected to cruise into last eight.

    What an upset indeed over the top-seed in XD. Lu/Huang beat Riky/Richie recently.

    Looking at the scoreline, INA MS Evert Sukamta delivered good resistance in game 1 with 21-19 then collapsed at the second, 21-10 against Xue Song.

    However, Shi Yuqi, born 2/28/1996, after losing a close G1, 21-23, and taking the 2nd set, 21-13, couldn't get the better of the 24-yr-old Hsu Jen Hao in the 3rd, going out 21-13.

    Too bad, He BJ is stopped by her senior Han Li in a 3-setter. The problem with Han Li is she's inconsistent, play well one day and mediocre the next. I doubt she'll go deep in this tournament.

    After loosing G1 which he could have won but did not, he went into G2 with all guns firing instead of pacing himself. This proved to be his undoing and he duly lost the rubber set and match. With more exposure and experience he will do well when he is older.

    Thanks for your input, you're probably right, he lost steam in the 3rd set after going all out in the first two sets. As you said, he failed to pace himself well, a lesson learnt.

    After the high of beating the current All-England and Asian Games champions, the top-seed in MD, Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen were beaten by Chen Hung-Ling/Wang Chi-Lin. 5 first-round, 2 second-round, and 1 QF defeats in 12 tourneys this year. They did win the India Open GPG and reached the Finals of Chinese-Taipei Open GPG, BAC, and China IC.
