TTY appears to be slowing down a little, apparently aware there's no need to go all out to win this face-off 15-14 in front... and now back level 15-all...
The match goes to Akane, 21-17 in the decider. Seems to me TTY is not playing with much intensity, esp towards the end.
Well, partly the game of tty is or today was quite a bit arrogant... She could have ended quite a few rallies with an easy shot instead toying around...
So Akane tops the group and avoids playing the top of Group A, most likely Saina in my opinion. Perhaps TTY would rather play Saina next than Akane again.
IMHO, TTY is the better player of these two and should prevail when they next meet , all else being equal. The future is hard to tell, Akane is still in her formative stage and will definitely improve her game, extraordinary.
There will be a fresh draw made tonight after the last match ends. Akane could be drawn to play any other player amongst the other 3, could be TTY again as well.
The top of each group will not meet in the semifinals. So, assuming Saina tops Grp A, Akane won't play her, only TTY may. For Grp A ,I seriously doubt Bae YH can beat Saina in two sets, even 2-1 is not sure as Saina is in fine form here.
