This is still better than just repainting it and naming it the Voltric Super Duo Force Extra. I prefer when a company is being honest, saying "Look guys, we didn't find any major improvement this year, so we made a customizable version of the popular VT80" than when they just release a repainted/rebranded racket saying it now has a supernanosonic metal frame that makes it so your racket smashes 1% faster. Because let's face it, those are the only real options when you don't have major improvements ready to be revealed.
Actually, I don't think this one will shift many at all. There's already a cheaper Voltric 80, and a red Voltric 80.
All they need to do is make a slightly head light series in medium, stiff and extra stiff variations and call them the Etune series then sell the custom grommets.
Btw........in korea VT70 etune seems to cost cheaper than a normal VT70 ._. The korean badminton market is very weird......
Btw speaking of yonex marketing "plans" there was a picture of a green/black version of ZFii in the ZFii discussion thread. I hope they're not repainting ZFii and hoping their sales on ZFii will go up -.-
But that ETune Technologie is a nice feature for people who wanne test different head weights. If you buy a 4U Etune V80, you can upgrade it by 8gramm headweight, which means it is more head heavy than 3U ZF1, right?
How hard is it to make some steel/metal grommets and just replace as many as needed on any racket you want to achieve whatever crazy swing/head weight you want?
Looks really nice, better than the original, in my opinion. But I don't like the "E-Tune grommet" idea, either.
Which makes me even more convinced that they haven't got the Arcsaber replacement ready. I'm beginning to think they won't bother, to be honest - the Nanorays are starting to cross into AS territory balance-wise.
The upcoming Nanoray Grants (NR-GZ) should be the next intruder into the ArcSaber range as well, and with a pricetag to boot, RRP of 31,230 JPY yen. It will become Yonex's most expensive racquet. For a guide, VTZF2's full RRP with japan tax is 27000 JPY... Anyway... This is one nice color scheme. Reminds me of Arc10 at first glance. I just hope this VT80ETN isn't too expensive, being "boosted" by some grommets and a new paint scheme...
When Arc11 came out, the Arc10 got mad at how it got replaced so it went to the gym and worked out, got a tan, got some Triceps bulging out. Then it somehow got its name changed to VT80 Etune and brought some Ankle weights you can attach when he feels like he's pumped up for a match.....
HAHA see if I can help with the name change, Arc10 moved from Asia and went to Denmark to work out. Seeing his improvement and change is class, they gave Arc10 Danish citizenship and changed his name to VT80 E-Tune!
