Look like a depressed racket which is lying on a coach for a therapy to claim why not pro will ever using it.
The ad may seem laughable. But, as someone else said, there is a definite market of people who will buy the most expensive of anything simply because it is the most expensive. Marketers know our weaknesses: Some of we BC'ers are terribly susceptible to the, "new tech" marketing. Others of us are gullible to the, "amazing deal" marketing. And far too many of can't help ourselves from the, "your favourite pro uses it" marketing. So can we really make fun of the advertisers who target those of the rich who believe, "I must own anything that is advertised sitting on a plush divan next to two glasses of champagne"?
I ordered a couple as well as a demo for when it comes out, I'll try to review it if I get some time.
Your sentence makes my day ) Btw, what is "Glanz" supposed to mean? I'm not an English native speaker.
That ad was the worst thing I've seen in a while, and I watched Jupiter Ascending last week . I was half expecting some butler to enter with a pyramid of Ferrero Rocher. Maybe they should have made two racquets "clinking" together like champagne glasses (complete with Yonex high quality paint chipping).
Actually, it does have one meaning...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glans I thought it couldn't get worse when I saw the name. Then, I watched the video. An absolute marketing omnishambles.
Compare it to the Jetspeed 10 video - banging soundtrack, techie noises, CGI, fire and roaring... that's an advert for a racket. That Yonex one makes you want to sit down with a cup of hot chocolate for a few chapters of Dickens!
Is this all Yonex has to offer at this year's All England 2015? Also, I saw Jan Jorgensen use a non-VTZF2 at a recent match Feb 11/2015-ish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PlaUL_xlus
After watching such an awesome video, with elegant background music etc, I'm tempted to buy one for the heck of it....
It could have been worse. They could have called it the Yonex Bell End. Imagine the same gushy advert with that name instead.
Currently sitting with much of the korean/ chinese squad watching Chen long/ Xue Song on court 5. This is awesome
You start to ask "who's going to pay that for a badminton racket?!", but then you realize that the answer is "plenty of people, actually". I don't think it'll do as well over here as it will in Japan, though.
