Most of the badminton players have been one hit wonder only . its not something to be ridiculed . almost every player playing badminton is no hit at all.

Jealous people like him will appear on screen once in a while and make such a nasty comments to provoke indian fans and feel happiness in doing so.
I think we dont need to worry about the trolls anymore. We know how good saina is. She is not at all a one time wonder.. If so, she would not have won so many titles including premier ones.

Nevermind where he is talking from. I take liberty to emphasize here that somebody here mentioned that saina will take 6 years to adapt her new style and training.. I wanna tell him that saina did not take that much long.. After changing her coach, she won Australia open, China open (created history by becoming the second woman to win a title there ) and then Indian GPG etc. So, no need to worry about these people who appear on court to show their inside sadness in terms of words.

Do you know, that apart from Chinese players, Saina is perhaps the most consistent player in the world, and has been here for a long time.

All credit to Saina for what she is doing, her change in coach and mentality I guess means she is really getting results. The unfortunate side effect of her change is probably Sindhu is going to suffer greatly as she has lost a world class sparring partner and also a mentor.

May be a mentor yes !! But not sparring partner . Even a 40 year old pullela is enough to run her all over the court and again not to mention likes of srikanth and kashyap too. Apart from the Chinese all legends such as taufik, peter ,lcw did not have a level partner in most if their career .

Nah it's different to be able to train womens singles matches with a women. Thats why you see lots of thai ws girls coming through the ranks at the same time, same with japanese ws girls. That's not exactly true about taufik, peter, lcw when they were developing they did.

Actually, saina has been training with vimal kumar and a male sparring partner , Arvind bhat. Both the coach and bhat are tall , so that they can give what actually needed to tackle yihan . Yihan with her height, used to do deep smashes which saina was struggling to. She practiced really hard especially to tackle yihan . This was a clear indication of her mental fitness especially in her training regime.

Not to be dismissive but any good men single player can give all that a women player needs to do to practise .

Yeah Saina is special in that she has always been someone who has kinda forged her own path, she has serious hunger that you need to be the first indian women to succeed like she has, but Sindhu I feel is only up there due to having Saina to compare and play

What can I say, for drills yes, for actually practising games and comparing I disagree completely.

Physically for court practise I think men are sufficient . I do agree that mentally for the need of competition she will require a good female partner .

Just watching all england semifinal. First time seeing Saina this year.

Her footwork seems much the same but she's looking a lot more athletic.

I don't think china is now as dominant as they were before . And not that they have deteriorated but others have caught up .

Congratulations to Saina for reaching her first All England Finals.
Best of luck for the finals!

She did in China Open 2014. These were Liu Xin, Suo Di and Qin Jinjing.

So Saina lost. And that makes us sad again.
I think this is the best I have ever seen Marin play.

However, I still believe that Saina lost it more psychologically than on court.
The Danish commentator pointed out this too. She lost her aggression from the first game. Go out and give it your all.

I would like to hear what Saina has to say about this.

I know. But she needs to develop the mentality of Marin. Marin fights till the end. Even the Danish commentator said that Saina's movement was gone because of psychological damage, not because of tiredness.

But to be fair Saina deals with a lot of pressure of expectations that Marin does not.
