I'm curious if all of the specs are the same for this racket. When Yonex released the Nanospeed 9900 for 2011 BWF WC people were saying that it was just a bit stiffer than the original one. I'm curious what mini changes have been done with the ZF2
To be honest, I've only had about a 30 minute swing-about with this racquet as a customer came into the shop and wanted to try out our demo. It felt much easier to use compared to the VTZF2, even though it was a 3u5. I felt it wasn't as strenuos on my shoulders or my elbow and i went in for some hard hitting. Clears and backhands were fairly effortless, but still some mis-timing as I usually use the Arcsaber 11. Definitely worth another look compared to the standard ZF2.
Tried my Voltric z-force ii ltd out today. I have to say, that it felt great! I got the feeling, that every shot was possible. I only used it, for about an hour +/-, so this is just what it felt like. Attack: Smashes were great. I could put every shot down the line, if I wanted to. It was a bit difficult to make drop shots in the beginning, because of the smaller head, but it didn´t take long, before they were killers! Compared to my Voltric 80 pg and n90ii, the smashes were like rockets! Defence: Great! That is almost everything I need to say. It was not hard at all, to move the racket around, and I took some shots, which I never had believed I could take! And it was winners. Compared to n90ii, it is much better in the defence, and compared to voltric 80, it is slightly faster. Control: This is here, I think the biggest potential lies. It is amazing, I can´t even describe it, the feeling you get from the racket! Looks: It is a nice looking racket, and the dark pink is looking great together with the black colour
Pink is tough color for a lot of guys. I am not sure if I can wear pink outfit on court without people staring. I think they are going to stare at me and I'll just feel bad. I'm a LCW fan but I cant follow him on this choice lol
It could be because it's limited edition ? Trying mine out tonight, and I believe it's just a color difference, but we'll see. Love my regular ZF2. There's one on auction on eBay, http://www.ebay.ca/itm/221547619584?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
No need to bid at US200+ when you can buy it straight away from a proper online store at a lower price? try www.topshotsports.com.au All their Yonex gear is AU coded as well.
Loved the LCW ZFll. Found it stiffer than the regular ZFll. Smashes were harder and net plays better. Backhand clears needed better timing. Overall it's a keeper.
Yup, just tried mine yesterday. Strung with bg65 at 27lbs. It's a heavy racquet, strong smashes, clears and drives well. Not so good for fast racquet play though as it takes quite a lot of power to wield it, compared to my previous Yonex Nanoray. Double shots (trick) may get harder. Definately for the player who wants more aggression in his/her game. Good for training too I think.
djnickyc, I'm planning to buy his model (VT Force LCW), I was wondering how heavy it really is. Its rated as a 4U. Would you say it is 3U in weight?
You should get it. Nice racquet to play with. Regarding the weight, after a few months with it, am used to it now. Takes a while to get used to if previously you were not using a head heavy racquet. Not sure what the difference is between 4u and 3u, but the racquet is built in such a way for power play. Your forearms will feel the strain, that's for sure.
Hi,For who that like zf ii LCW 3ug5 I just bought it (2 rackets for replace AT 900 PLC model) and play for 2 times ( 2 days per week). It is very good racket.Just summary and IMO the zf ii LCW play better overall compare to old AT 900PLC. But I notice that string tension on zf ii LCW seem a bit tight wwhen in the same tension of AT 900 PLC. Same string , stringer , string m/c same day...26 lbs. 2 knots but when on zf ii LCW it seem like 27 lbs. So I re-string them with new set up to 25 lbs. 2 knots. If you interest ,I will tell you after this weekend.
I own the one, I would say it's head heavier than I thought it would be. Need more power to swing it, not yet tested in court. Certainly for powerful smashes seeking.
