I think when the score was 19-16 to LD in G3 against JOJ he played a really fast rally to give him match point opportunity. In the final after being 12-3 down he caught up to 13-10 but he then made some uncharacteristic errors and broke the strings on his racquet which sent the shuttle into the net and then he was too far away and it looks kinda like he gave up from there.
Lin dan makes some mistakes in 3rd game against Chen long that kills him . Honestly i dont know when come to this year world championship does Lin dan still have the drive and desire to win !
In G2 and G3 of the final, LD lost focus on many occasions, giving away cheap points. CL played very well, but LD was not slow ; he was just quiet, not anticipating, strangely passive, and making unforced errors in rows.

Would you buy this limited edition range of rackets when even the great man himself seem to have been unhappy with them during his matches...?
I don't belive it depends on the rackets, he will have test the rackets before he competes with them...trust me! The pros have many rackets with different tensions just because to fit the conditions in the arena... Jan O Jörgensen had some problems to on the same side of court like Lin Dan had.
Especially him! I remember a match where he changed his racket, dry-swung 4 or 5, took one for a hit, wasnt satisfied, returned to his bag and chose a different one after another bout of dry-swinging. The whole thing mustve taken at least 3 minutes! Also he's one of the few who kept on adding athletic tape and mucking around with their grip, trying out different styles especially from 2011 on. Most others find a setup they like and then stick with that for many years, if not their whole career
Yes I can understand but isn't LD have all the racket tested and tagged in the training as well and certified to the company as to these set of racket he likes and for these conditions ?
I think EE wants the racket to be eye catcher whether ugly or not doesnt matter because it will sell on the name of LD . Eye catching will help people see and recognize it easily in the clubs etc and chances of its selling will be more.
