Wish a member from Denmark could provide us with better clarification / confirmation concerning this matter. Nevertheless, I just read a news (through google translate) http://sporten.tv2.dk/badminton/2015-04-17-officielt-fem-badmintonstjerner-smidt-af-landsholdet It seems that the sequence are as follows: (CMIIW) 1. The players has their existing personal sponsorship, which are still legally binding to each of them (personally). 2. DBF just recently signed new collective sponsorship on February 2015. Source - http://badmintondenmark.com/cms/default.aspx?clubid=3563&m=2132848&cmsid=133&pageid=1998 3. DBF then requested the players to amend / revise the existing personal sponsorship for the purpose complying with the terms governed under collective sponsorship 4. In return, the Players tried numerous / various offers to DBF, so that they could still maintain their existing personal sponsorship's terms. 5. DBF and the players failed to reach mutual consent how to resolve this conflict of sponsorship. As regards query concerning other issue, which is OOT / does not relate to the Title of this thread, I wouldn't bother my time / energy to response it. Let's just focus the discussion to the sponsorship's conflicts.
The collective agreement allows for individuals to seek individual sponsorships provided they don't clash. It is not a collective sponsorship agreement, rather the terms for being part of the danish national setup amongst which is national team branding so they have agreed to wear whatever sponsorship the federation comes up with. At the time they signed with Kjeldsens, late 2013, they probably didn't foresee this current issue. At the recent Euro Team Championships mid-Februari the DBF didn't manage to secure a shirtsponsor and the players were playing with Kjeldsens on the shirt. At roughly the same time they secured the Danisa sponsorship for the Sudirman Cup and as it turns out it includes more: - A title sponsorship which means that Denmark Open 2015 and the coming two years will be called Yonex Denmark Open presented by Danisa - A sponsorship of all the Danish national coaches - Furthermore there has been made individual agreements with Hans-Kristian Vittinghus and Jan Ø. Jørgensen. http://www.badminton.dk/wwwPublic/Club/News/Detail/default.aspx?clubid=3563&m=2132848 (same link as above I see ) In short: they players should have foreseen this issue arrising, no matter which type of sponsor in the case of national team duty; which really is so few and far between it should never be a dealbreaker for a potential individual sponsor.
thanks for the clarification guys. it seems like DBF is screwing over the players by signing the new sponsorship. no cookies for you.
You missed one important detail: the players signed a contract (or an agreement in some form) with DBF long before that. It is reasonable to assume that under that contract, the players received various benefits such as funding, coaching, training facilities, etc, in exchange of the promotional rights which were ceded to DBF. Those promotional rights are essential to DBF to raise money for Danish badminton. The DBF's position is that it is up to the players to respect the terms of that contract and resolve any conflicts between their personal promotional activities and those of DBF.
I think the DBF is not happy with the players because the contract the players signed has a clause against the team sponsorship, which the players should not have accepted - but as Camilia said, this clause only stipulates other cookies as forbidden, which looked quite innocent to them when they signed. The players look like being wrong, but innocent. And the BDF should be more clever - teach more the players what can and cannot be done.
i got a can of each and tried both. Danisa is more crunchy. Kjeldsen's is more buttery. I like more buttery. I will try a blind test with the kids tomorrow.
I too like more buttery. Try the rectangular one, very soft, very buttery, very nice. Guess what??!! I just notice that my Danisa is produced in Indonesia!! OMG!! Kjeldsen is 100% imported from Denmark. No wonder the price difference is so much. Kjeldsen costs $9.70 whereas Danisa costs $ 6.90(Free 3 packets of cappuccino)
Not sure if this is really just my fault. I bought a big blue tin for the first time in many years last weekend. And all hell broke loose. Danish cookies are getting too sweet for me. By the way, that was not raisin but currant. The king of cookie hill for me now is:
surprisingly your can of Danisa is also produced in Indonesia. Indonesia is too far away from the US. The larger can??? I thought it is a global standardized size?? US$9.90 is referring to Danisa or Kjeldsens?
