M&Q Report 1: http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=634683&dl=1 Biggest names are: LCW, Viktor Axelsen, Marc Zwiebler, Yu Yang, Kakiiwa/Maeda, KKK/TBH, Hayakawa/Endo
From CHN, happy to see MS Xue Song, Huang Yuxiang, Qiao Bin, and Shi Yuqi (who unfortunately is in the reserve list). Sadly, no He Bingjiao in WS.
Japan registered their best WS in this GP Gold, Okuhara, Yamaguchi, Takahashi, Mitani plus the second stringers Sato, Hashimoto, Imabeppu and pretty Aya Ohori
Looks like we will have a new winner this year as 2x defending champion Tien Minh Nguyen has withdrawn. Report 2: http://bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=635590&dl=1

Tell me is there badminton fans in sufflolk county, NY? East Coast is overrated. California is the 1st state GDP producing in America: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_GDP California's economy is 8th largest in the World: http://www.lao.ca.gov/LAOEconTax/Article/Detail/1
the catchment area for long island is HUGE! all of New England, New York, all the way down to DC and Pennsylvania and beyond. there are tons of badminton fans there that will easily fill up the arena. it is true that the main concentration is in CA but the US Open has been held here for years. it is good in a way to change it up. i don't see why GDP matters here, but if you think about it, the GDP of east coast in the catchment area I mentioned is way larger than CA.
I just envied the East Coast for having the event again and again. I don't think US Open has ever been held in the bay area, has it?
Not in bay area. But it has been held in southern California until it was moved to eat coast recently.
see. Not once it has ever been held in San Francisco, the beautiful city. I am thinking it should be held in either South San Francisco, Daily City or down south like Fremont or Redwood City. It will be an awesome change. We have more Indians, Taiwanese and Mainland Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesians here concentrated in Northern California than in San Diego, Orange County combined.
