Bae wears down Michelle Li, ending her opponent's good run.

Yes, looks like they are really going for it. Rooting for Zhang/Fu. Hopefully a SF vs. Lee/Yoo.

no doubt wang is playing such a beautifully controlled deceptive game whereas saina is playing poorly, her movement looks so bad. .she looks already defeated.

The picture doesn't do her justice, she's even more beautiful in person according to some reports by TV presenters and reporters as well as commentators. (I gather that she is not too photogenic).

Btw, I always prefer to see her in skorts, a full length dress would be wonderful.

Some of the court3 matches should have really been on a streamed court. Really sad to have them not covered.
Overall more interesting than the court2 line-up... imo

When WSX is in full flow in her masterful controlled game, her well-placed shots keep her opponents on their feet and under constant pressure, physically and mentally to breaking point.

Yup, amazing and really unpredictable, made her opponent flat-footed. Wang SX played much better than preliminary rounds and she will face regular rival, Bae YJ tomorrow.

So the verdict here for the Saina vs WSX match.

I would say that in the latter part of both games, Saina went into self-destruct mode. I have no idea about the first game, but perhaps she felt the pressure in the second game. Her attack is good, she must now get deft touches in there as well.

As for WSX, she was an art, with all her deft shots, yet she doesn't know how to attack, and still doesn't. There were barely 2-3 smashes. She doesn't kill when it comes at net, as the male commentator remarked.

So basically it was a match between two very opposite players. One relying simply on brute force, smash, and attack, vs the other who relies solely on touches, and grace shots. Must have both.

One thing to note is, that WSX has changed her game quite a bit, with new added shots up her arm. But in a while, she will be read by her opponents. I have no doubt the next time Saina plays, she will win against WSX.

    Now MX ENG vs. INA.
I would have preferred another MX on court1 but anyway. Hopefully it will be a quality match, I believe Ahmad/Natsir should make it so SF, but they have struggled in rounds before. So chances for Adcocks are not bad.
