this is unusual. The TV court is over in less than 5 hours.

LYD/YYS won 22-20 21-18, good performance from both pairs.

Well, Chen Long just grazed his finger which needed medical attention, but he had better carry on playing and finish beating Tian Houwei or else somebody's incurable disease, called "Anti-CHN Syndrome" will start acting up again, poor thing.

That was quite a long match, so it's going to be Chen Long vs Viktor Axelsen for tomorrow's finals.

Yup, almost 1 hour. Chen Long led comfortably in game 2, suddenly Tian HW catched up to close the gap and ended with 21-19 for the world champion.

Hmm...why did Chen Long protest the linecall at 20-18 and then after winning the final matchpoint fist pumped three times for ?

Whatever it is, he did somebody a favour by preventing an attack of A-C Syndrome, that on a Saturday afternoon when his shrink is off (in case he runs out of meds). So after DEN has decided that JOJ didn't play his best to let VA into the final, Chen Long is now the one 'they' decided to take him on.

Feel sorry for Tian HW who has been playing so well here, if not for Chen Long, he would have advanced to the final, regardless who 'they' are who can decide it, what the hell.

Last match of semifinal round, Liu Cheng/Bao Yixin def. Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na, 21-17 / 21-16, pretty convincing performance by Liu/Bao.

Liu Cheng finds himself in the same shoes as Zhang Nan (occasionally), playing both XD and MD in the finals.

Miss all the matches today but thankfully manage to see the scores from the bwf website. Wow indeed got a shock to see so many china players advanced to play in the finals. In fact I can say that it is almost all china events by tomorrow. Wow china seems to have representatives in all the different categories tomorrow. Congratulations. I guess china badminton players really worked herd and played so well to win all their matches. Congratulations once again.

Of course I must admit that I felt sad to see so many Korean players lose today. Sung ji Hyun, bae Yoon ju and ko song Hyun/ Kim ha na lost today. Really have to admit that all the Korean players really played badly today.

First Super Series final for the Hong Kong pair.

Read somewhere that Chau Hoi Wah was thinking of retiring from the game a couple of years ago! Then Lee Chun Hei came through and their cobination has some chemistry about it.

I think it was scheduled for court 2 but was shifted to court 1. It was on live stream. Kim Ha Na played better than against Japan in the Sudirman Cup where, forgive me KHN, she was a mere passenger.

I m just watching the replays. The commentators discussed the LEE/YOO combination and have been very critical about them.
I really can´t understand being that harsh.
Yes, LYD misses the big win in MD, but he enters WC, AG, AC and SSP finals regularly and wins a lot expect OG and AG (only one chance so far for each since he is on top of MD) and WC. Everyone knows what his standards are and that he had tough times not winning them.
BUT there is competition... And over the last years there are two other outstanding pairs and players with Kido/Setiawan, Fu/Cai and now Setiawan/Ahsan (maybe add Boe/Mogensen).
And for his partner I think with YYS they form a great pair. I m not sure whether SBJ would fit better (if personal differences would be cut out). Maybe a little better in the flat game and SBJ is more creative in defense, but imo YYS is a consistent smasher and defender. Yes SBJ is more creative with angles, but who should finish points frome the back in a LYD/SBJ combo?

I mean it has been discussed here in the LYD threats a lot and I wonder whether you agree with the commentators or with my arguements?

Let's see then! Better not to belittle the winning odds of the new pair Liu Cheng/Lu Kai after seeing what they have passed on the way to the finals! Among other the 2014 WC gentlemen.

Fingers crossed, I'm foreseeing a new champion here ;)
