How about the WD, which pair do you prefer to win? Or maybe you are not interested since the only possible winner is definitely Chinese.

It was nice that HKG won. They have just like Axelsen beaten several higher ranked opponents, maybe Axelsen can win today also but it will be very hard.

Yes I'm afraid you are right.

But Ma Jin (I somehow identify her with the rank of MAJOR) has an impressive young partner in Tang Yuanting, and this is a clear advantage against their "veteran" compatriots.

MJ almost got a winner from the ground after slipping.

Ma Jin is the most experienced of the 4. i still remember that time when i think Zhang Jun (or was it Zheng Bo) scolded her so much it made her cry.

Ma Jin is not a weak player by any means, but putting her with these 3 other powerful muscular ladies she seems to lack power in comparison.

I think MJ deserved better partners. The guy who publicly scolded her and made her cry was a d*ck. XC just can't anymore. And in WD, she was always the one who had to pair with younger and less stable partners to mentor them and then once the yongsters were good, they gave her another one.

I probably agree with the one who scolded her if the reason was that he was mad due to Ma Jin only blocking all netshots instead of killing them.

I respect your understanding and appreciation of Chinese history, and HK's for that matter (the Opium War and British Colonialism, etc). No need to worry, all those leftover issues created by the 155-yr former British Empire rule will resolve itself over time now that HK has reunited with her Motherland,as they are really one people, one family. Enough said, what will be, will be.
